Yea I did and never had a problem with him...he was a little intense because of the guys above who were always pushing. I also worked for the famous guy that retired and then stayed on for two more years getting paid way more than before he said retirement. I also worked with Mr. Orr in the Jet shop, who many bad mouthed, but he too was a good guy. They got rid of him and he ended divorced and was selling flea market goods to survive. Management ate their own. I look back and marvel how I stayed as long as I did. I now work with a guy whose 23 year son works in IT for U out in AZ and makes six figures. And all of us got the ax and the privilege of paying union dues. I guess I can chalk it up as honor. I have my badge of honor sitting in the drawer which I refused but they sent it to me anyway. When people find out I worked for U they always say, you poor b-a-s-t-a-r-d, including an eye surgeon recently.

what happened to Ed on mids or John I thought Ed was the shoe in for the job they just filled. The guys on south dock didn't want Herk he was worse as a upgrade than any of the regulars. I worked with Daryle for years if they don't force feed him the kool-aid he will be ok. I think they still have one opening to fill.
 
If I am thinking of the same Ed (little guy with brown hair) as you I believe he is not right for the job. Good leads and supervisors are very critical to an operation and the managers need to try to recruit, grow and mentor the right folks. The job does not pay very well at Airways so the will have trouble getting any real talent.
 
I think they got it right by hiring Daryle, no politics involved for once. Why in the hell he did this is beyond me and I do feel they will fill a job in the back room where a foreman passed away so Herc will get another shot.

Ive ask the moderator to remove my no.14 post

In my last post # 14 I said some things that I wished I hadnt. I am not in a position to judge anyone and there leadership.Both foreman are good men one is a great father the other a great husband. Im ashamed that I vented on this chat room and I do not want to hurt anyone.
I was venting and I wish I had not written what I did. To both foreman please except my sincere appoligy.
I know that both of you are good men and I did not want to increase the already high stress levels we are all experiencing..me with my family and you with yours.We all have our problems you know about mine and i know a little about yours.
I would really like to all get along and have a productive career for us all.
gentleman you are my foreman and I wil do what ever you ask me to do.
Im sure you both know how we got here and it wasnt anyone in paticulars fault.
The important thing is we learn from our mistakes and stop this bashing from all sides
and move to a more productive relationship that will benifit us all.
I for one feel very unliked and harrassed and given demeaning jobs that are ment to hurt me.
I want to put this ''''' behind us and move to the type of relationship we should have.
I have worked for many foreman in my career and most have been my friends and someone I could trust and ask for help and respect because they are the boss....I know how to take orders....I also know that I want to be one of your best workers and for you to reap the benifits of the production .
To be a leader is hard it can also be rewarding
I guess you have to have thick skin and wisdom enough to know who wants to work hard and be liked so that in the end it will benifit your career.I want to be one of your best workers one who you can count on to work through break to make you look good to your superiors all I ask is to be liked and treated like you would want to be treated.
I know you are both good men who have stress on you ,I know I have a lot on me and sometimes it gets to be a lot.
let me be the worker I am and lets quit this
harrassment,we all have to work together for a common goal.In the long run I will help your career if we can 'all' get past this.
I saw the amount of stress i cause by writing that post on you and trust me I dont want to hurt you in anyway.
I want to be both of your friends and someone you can count on...I just cant seem to get there.
I guess thats where your leadership and your position come into play.
Somehow we all got off on the wrong footing.I want to stop it now before it gets worse and appoligize on here and hopefully you will be the wiser and learn that being a supervisor is a skill that is learned and earned through heartfelt lessons that will make us all the better for living through and repairing what
went wrong so that our coworkers see how we handled the situation in a proffesional manner and that they will realize that you are the leaders you both are striving to be.

My sincere appoligy to you both and I hope I didnt hurt either of you with my venting or cause you more stress then you are both dealing with already.
lets show upper management that we can get through this and make bay one a productive
unit that will shine.So that it benifits all of our careers.
I'll try but I'll need you both to lead the way.We can do this I know it...we are all human
and we will make mistakes lets learn from it and better our selves.I see the motivation in you and I respect that, its the same in me,let me show it for you to use to make your bay the most produtive and a model to better your careers.

That was the most upsetting crock I've ever read on this site. :shock: I had to register just to type a reply to your disgusting dribble! You work through breaks? You do whatever the foreman tells you? DELETED :down: You should of left your original feelings because it was probably the truth, but now your crawfishin to save face. The 1 new foreman was a good lead and from what I'm told is a decent foreman to work for, as long as you don't screw him, he will be fair with you. Thats always been his unwritten policy and it worked for me. The other guy, jerry, was always a lousy, lazy mechanic! 🙁 But of course when he was a lead, that work ethic changed and he expected everyone to jump thru hoops to make himself look good. He did indeed beg the old director to make him foreman, that is a FACT. And now he is training you to be his puppet. Just go to work and do your job and you shouldn't have a problem. See thats all thats required, nothing more and nothing less. We don't need union members who work through breaks and RAT their coworkers out for what they see as not doing enough. Or maybe being in the parking lot on midnights a few minutes after break. DELETED
