Selective reduction (or fetal reduction) is the practice of reducing the number of fetuses in a multifetal pregnancy (those involving more than one fetus). With selective reduction, one or more fetuses are "selected" for termination. This procedure is often performed after a congenital defect has been identified. Prenatal diagnostic testing may be used to determine which of the fetuses has a greater chance of chromosomal defect or genetic disease. The fetus(es) with the highest likelihood of chromosomal abnormalities are then targeted in selective reduction.

But that is not taking a life, freezing it in liquid nitrogen never allowed to be born is not taking a life, incinerating unneeded blastocycts is not taking a life. Is it really about life, or is it about controlling a womans body?

Now, you are a Doctor....Herr Micky...Ize do undestanz...You deside vat baby vill live.....bad genes.....vill abort...goot....vill keep....u understanze??

Pretty sure that is not what he said, at least that is not what I read. Sounded to me that he was merely defining what happens during IVF. Certain cells get to live, while others do not.

not always..regarding in vitro sometimes the transfer of embroys result in a successful pregnancy of all...and a decision may be made reducing the number from four to two or three to one..(any a congenital defect has absolutely nothing to do with that process) and my personal opinion.. that is wrong.

to me, it has nothing to do with control rather than simply taking life for granted...and I believe life begins at conception...inside and in this case, outside the womb.

And most people respect your rights and beliefs. Unfortunately it doesn't ring true the other way around. My point was to the hypocrisy of protesting against abortion and not in vitro. If life begins at the moment of conception, allowing excess blastocysts to be left frozen and never to develop or simply destroyed is the equivalent, right?
