Actually, if you think about it...you know the mayor is going to lose, not so much from unions and contracts but because of a judge's order. From a business sense-the longer this drags out, the more interest the money earns the city. You're talking millions!
Still, tell me where a firefighter or police will do their job for minimum wage?

Just a thought:
Who is to say that the mayor isn't a millionaire? What if like Kerry, he is married to a French's Mustard heiress?
Dunno about that, he sounded the tsunami warning....lets see if the unions have life preservers,
But at at the same time this drags out, payouts are still draining the lake.

And what if he's not and he's actually trying to do the job "TAX PAYERS" hired him to do , like a balanced budget , even if that means stepping on union toes !

I'd laugh my arse off if YOU were on the "losing end" of a situation where the Fire Dept. was 'stretched so thin ($$$)', that if a number of emergency calls came in at the exact same time and the local F D could cover all but one, think how apropos.....if YOU were the ONE with a garden hose in your paws ...pissing a lil' stream of water....on a BLAZING INFERNO consuming the "ol Homestead' !!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhh, hate to break this to you, but if saving the tax payer money goes against a court order, it's ILLEGAL! SW, I can sympathise with you, but your gripe is just about unions, and has nothing to do with tax payers. You'll never see your taxes come down, regardless how much he saves.
I say lets become socialists so everybody makes thr same wage all around!
