Those jobs were not lost they are still here. You can come and replace me any time you wish without any resentment at all. Now I am glad to see AMFA struggling through this. They are absolutely powerless to control anything that happens. Their new strategy is to hope some outside force comes in and save the day. I did see Superman flying around the hotel earlier. Winter is close at hand, I hear that AMFA members are the only mechanics that can work in the cold. See there is always hope. Yes When in school I did have my uncouth snide comments to make about the short-bus. Did AMFA members ride the short-bus? That would explain a lot if they did.

I do not know where this 1080 is coming from. Until it is a validated number I think we should quit throwing it around and using it as a factual number. Northwest mechanics are currently understaffed with as little as 1200 and as many as 1900 mechanic on board. The actual number of scabs isn’t even known. Northwest needs at least its current number plus another 25% more. So I don't have a lot of faith in that 1080. If anything it is 1080 on top of what they already have. So there are well over 2000 jobs to be had. Yes there were jobs cut but keep in mind they were over inflated jobs that probably shouldn't ever have even existed to begin with. These are hard times for any airline so anyone in the industry had better be prepared for these kinds of cuts.

Hackman, how have you been lately? Why are you not on the picket line? Oh yea I forgot you are a sidelines guru. If you were in the same position as the Northwest mechanics you would have never gone on strike. You talk tough because you feel safe with your job. You hold contempt for people who cross the picket line yet you sympathize with them for not having a job. You people have these men caught in a catch-22. You praise them for going on strike yet you know it is a futile strike and that AMFA is broke. You condemn them if they cross the picket line yet it is next to impossible to find a job making what they would have made even with the concessions. You ridicule the company yet you hold the corrupt unions up as if they were gods. You are some very shameful people.

Your damn right I praise AMFA for striking. They had no choice. AMFA attempted to help NWA several times in negotiations, but Dougie Stealand and his cronies stubbornly refused to negotiate. They never wanted an agreement with AMFA, that's been proven. NWA management has for years been the despots they are today. This rouge corporation has bilked billions out of the state of Minnesota, the federal gov't, and its own employees. They (management) deserve to be treated as criminals, and nothing more.
If this AMFA strike was futile, "that girl" (Julie "Golden" Showers) wouldn't be sending sad "please come back to work" letters to striking AMFA members. The NWA operation is dead last and falling apart as time goes on. Now Dougie and the BK expert Neil "Sphinkter" Cohen, who bailed out of US Air after he ruined that airline, have another BK judge to deal with. We will soon see what he imposes.
