I'm sure you do...After all, the IAM has lined up for the concession conga line just like the TWU has.. There may not be much left to concede.... Yea you are probably right.700UW said:I have a great idea from the people who are on the NC, do you?
I'll spell it out for you again....WE HAVE LOST ENOUGH AND GIVEN ENOUGH.......Overspeed said:Not perfect means that what is perfect in my opinion may differ from someone else in say MIA, or with an IAM member in CLT, or a member in TUL, or...well you should get it by now. There will be internal compromises because that's how it has to work when a union represents people from all over the U.S. and have also worked under two separate CBAs. IAM members want seniority boarding for non-rev travel, TWU members don't so there was winners and losers there. Why is the concept of compromise so hard for many to understand? Overall the JCBA will lift all across the board regardless of the details. No CBA is perfect.
Since this is about negotiations,700UW said:I have a great idea from the people who are on the NC, do you?
It is standard practice of the TWU to keep the membership uninformed...CMH_GSE said:Since this is about negotiations,
What is it you do know?

Your sad tired argument for AMFA "raiding" is the PIG in desperate need of some lipstick - Only industrial union sheep turn an obvious blind eye to the differences in organizing and cling to such ridiculous arguments, especially when AA/US has recently provided textbook examples. Teamsters at AA & US - AMFA at AA You won't see the difference because it doesn't fit your narrative.
I have heard this fanciful charge made several times before and I challenged those making it to provide ACTUAL PROOF to the allegations which none have - The IAM has tried to use this as an excuse without providing proof - wheres yours? PROVE IT!
Another sad little dodge - You said "any pilot group", and Its clear you have no real knowledge of what you're talking about.
In Solidarity with Teamsters UPS Pilots Threaten Worldwide Shutdown of UPS

What does that have to do with your LIE that PFAA ignored AMFA, and your LIE that Seham "orchestrated" PFAA?
However, since you brought it up...
AMFA members have "attempted" organizing on SWA - and won.
AMFA members have "attempted" organizing on Horizon - and lost
AMFA would be members are "attempting" organizing on United - in progress
All are or were teamster mechanic groups
While your comment above has nothing to do with the subject of PFAA, it does illustrate - yet again - you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Than I have no doubt no matter what JCBA comes out you will be unhappy. Never said give anything up. To spell it out for you no ever gets everything they want in a negotiation unless one side is completely inept.
Thanks.Overspeed said:topdawg,
Yes Trent 800 and RB211 is all that is done at TAESL. Word is that RR doesn't want to grow the facility so TAESL is probably on borrowed time.
If AA is at 29% then they are close to the cap. AA can't outsource much more then unless the TWU outsourcing rep Schiable misses it.
just face the reality and the truth shall set you freeOverspeed said:Okay Chuck. Okay. Whatever makes you feel better.
Incremental gains? That is what the mechanics have been trying to get away from. As long as the mechanics representative has a social structure made up of all of the different work groups, the mechanics will never achieve that goal.Overspeed said:MetalMover,

To spell it out for you no ever gets everything they want in a negotiation unless one side is completely inept. If you are looking for Parker to walk in with an open check book and blank sheet of paper with you to fill out whatever work rules you want then you are going to be severely disappointed. It's the all or nothing approach that has prevented the membership from getting even incremental gains over the past seven years. So while you can say you never cowed to the company's demands, you lost any increase and improvements in the process. And that my friend is losing not winning (unless you're Charlie Sheen). But go ahead pat yourself on the back for not accepting anything less than the perfect CBA. CEOs everywhere love you. Parker and his gang will keep exercising their options while we all sit and wait for that perfect deal you want. My expectations are high but I understand this is a JCBA and we can't even ask for a mediator until 2018. Strike 2020???
