Ok I'll ask. What happened? I'm unfamiliar with the situation.
Why bother anyone can tell it was sarcasm not a threat. I want to know why they are only working on this 7 or 8 days a month

Oh crap, somebody with intelligence has joined the forum!

Mechanics at both airlines were posting about slow downs and both UA and AA sued him for names and their IP address, he was a mechanic at UA.

Have to remember the rest of the details and AA sued the APA and won.

What was the final outcome of the suit against the mechanics?

Can't find any info online about it.

TWU-IAM Association Mechanic and Related/Stores Negotiating Committee Meets in Dallas, Continues Reconciliation Process

September 4, 2015

The merger of American Airlines and US Airways has created the largest airline in the world and this Negotiating Committee is tasked with preparing for joint negotiations with the New American Airlines. As we prepare for these negotiations the Committee is continuing the process of reconciling the labor agreements so we are prepared to respond once we receive the Company’s initial proposals.

The Committee met in Dallas-Fort Worth at the TWU Air Transport Division office from August 31st through September 4th for Mechanic and Related groups including:

--Maintenance Control Technicians
--Title I-Aircraft Maintenance and Related
--Title II-GSE/Plant Maintenance
--Maintenance Training Specialists

In addition to the above groups, the reconciliation process also continued for the Material Logistics Specialists/Stores groups.

We ask for your patience as your Committee continues this complex task. We are committed to obtaining a joint agreement that recognizes the past sacrifices of TWU-IAM Association members, which has allowed American Airlines to post the largest profits in the carrier’s history.

Your committee is scheduled to meet in Chicago for the week of September 28th through October 2nd.

Print and distribute the bulletin.

Fraternally,
Mechanic and Related/Stores Negotiations Committee:

Jason Best
Mike Bush
Ken Coley
John Coveny
Dale Danker
Mark Huffman
Bennie Martino
Gary Peterson

Larry Pike
Sean Ryan
Jay Sleeman
Mark Strength

Why dont they just say "we are in the process of negotiating what we are going to negotiate"

Ask what happened to the old web page www.the-mechanic.com, UA and AA both sued him.
That must make you a proud union member to take sides against fellow union members taking a stand to make a point. Your pathetic. Unless it's the IAM everything else is your enemy.

What are you talking about?

If someone advocates slow down its a violation of your CBA, it happened at UA and AA and they sued the man who ran the-mechanic.com and wanted the IP addresses, he was a mechanic for UA.

I have not taken any side in this matter to make a point, I dont want to see someone end up in trouble.

You really are clueless.

Just read the latest update. They plan on meeting again end of the month. Please be patient during this complex process. What happened to starting negotiations with the company 30 days after the ratification of the association? Did they not know the complexity of having two loser unions trying to work as one would be complicated? Holidays are approaching. Guess what will happen? NOTHING. After October's meeting things will slow down for the holidays. See ya in January.

700 you have been on the negotiating committees in the past. in normal (not bankruptcy) negotiations what is the most difficult item  money, scope or what ?

Looking for someone or something to blame on the current pace of the negotiations? AMFA guys? Really? Get with the program. The association not AMFA are the ones trying to merge the two unions. Too bad I haven't talked much about amfa lately. Actually you and 700UW keep bringing it up whenever you have nothing better to to say.

Mike, not sure if that's just a jab at guys who want a change (AMFA) or you honestly believe break room gossip, but I can guarantee you it's not "AMFA guys" slowing down the negotiations. Let me just say that the two sides are trying to protect their own turf. That is fact!
