Before 700 starts posting his cut-n-paste junk about this post I will try to intervene,
No union can use any part of our dues for political purpose.
Wages have been on the rise.
and I think thats as far as i'll go
Disagree to some of this.
I'm making less today than I was in 2003, before the give backs, when you factor in the loss of Pension, medical costs, vacation lost, sick time lost, holidays and holiday pay lost, double time lost.
Not a complete list, but that hits the highlights.
The give backs were lengthy.
The get backs have been virtually non existent to date.
Add in, the company now wants to implement a new CS policy outside of the JCBA , but wants nothing to do with giving us the 4% everybody else got until there is a JCBA.
Also, on the politics issue.
The union uses massive amounts of money's, manpower, time and energies into garnering political influence and telling its membership who to support each election cycle, because , you know, they know what's better for us than we do.
Can someone, Anyone, point to some things all that political ass kissing has gotten the membership through all these years of give backs?
Ironic, the biggest losses have been maintained and remain in place all during one of the greatest runs of liberalism in DC in our lifetime.
Again, I'm still making less than my pre give back 2003 compensation.
also, even with all the give backs, still lost my job and had to move to keep one.
Very likely to lose my job again with coming JCBA and "revised scope".
So go ahead, tell me what I gained since the give backs of 2003...
