HAS ANY ONE EVER SEEN A CONTRACT THAT THE UNION TOOK UNION MEMBER CUTS AND CONCESSIONS WITH THE COMPANY AND DID NOT PUT A CLAUSE THAT AFTER BANKRUPTCY OR MERGER TO RETURN TO THE NEGOTIATING TABLE FOR THE RETURN OF CONCESSIONS AND RETURN OF FURLOUGHED UNION MEMBERS. 😱
HAS ANY ONE EVER SEEN A UNION PUT A 4 YEAR HOLD ON A CONTRACT THAT THE COMPANY AND A BK JUDGE CUT UP AND THE UNION DID NOT EVEN STAND ITS GROUND TO PUT A CLAUSE TO RETURN TO THE NEGOTIATING TABLE. 😱

funny how your contract was the model glass and company used when we went into concessions.
dude...if the company successfully abrogated and imposed a contract of their liking,it would have only been good during the period they were in bankruptcy and subject to renegotiation upon emergence.however the companys intent if that would have happened was to outsource everything except line maintenance.reduction down to around 700 mechanic and related systemwide...That is why IAM members chose to accept wage and benefit reductions
to save what we could. 😉
what would the famous IBT group have done in a similar circumstance??
