New Paint

Has anyone noticed that the Star Alliance logo is gone from most of our a/c? Just wondering if it has worn off or was it removed?

The decals did not last, they kept replacing them and they would come off again, as the plane comes due for painting, they are going to paint the Star Alliance Logo on the fuselage instead of using a decal.

I think the US Airways scheme is one of the best out there. Although I do think a dark blue roof sitting on the tarmac in PHX or LAS will be an oven, plus most of US Airways planes are already fading badly. What if they combined US Airways scheme with America West? The new scheme would have elements of both airlines keeping the US Airways logo and font to save money on new signage at airports etc. It would give the fleet a new look and more reflective top for harsher conditions.

I do believe if this happens, the combined carrier needs to implement a less harsh modified US paint scheme. The made up proposals are nice. For those who complain of cost, a/c are routinely painted and God knows the blue tops are fading and chipping. I think a modified version of the US paint scheme would be great. And every a/c should have on the front lower part of the a/c, Home of the Cactus with a cactus figure. As a US employee, I know that AWA wants to keep some identity. This would be a great jesture.

US wasnt too much concerned to keep the PI Speedbird or the PSA smile...... 🙄 Has a way of turning everyone into a Funeral Director look alike and wiping the smile off everyone's face.
