Another case of the exempilary scab maintenance shining in its finest glory. Poor souls, I hope they were all rebooked on a better carrier.

If NWA truly cancelled 2 days worth of flights, then they should have cancelled something else with a B757 on it and ferried that plane due Jamaica to pick those poor people up. You don't leave your clients stuck for over 48 hours in another country. just my thoughts.....

I'm also curious why they didn't upgrade some equipment through MBJ. This particular flight isn't the only one we have there.

All you need is masking tape ... which seems to be a rare item in our flight attendant kits these days....
(we all know REAL mechanics use DUCT TAPE).

Once I boarded a plane where the used MASKING TAPE to do a "quick fix". It was quite pretty... with various peoples' hair fraying out of it... blue lint...

OH BOY! As a former NW FF flyer I find this sort of thing to be plenty of reason to let the flyer beware. My reasoning is that my odds of being involved in such a mess are higher than they used to be if I fly NW.

Perhaps all of this can improve sales for the electronic conferencing industry? It's safer, you don't have to travel so often and face time with family would increase.

As I have stated before PTO, this is the reason why I and all of my family and friends REFUSE to fly on NWA because NWA is an UNSAFE airline. I also know that this past week we at USAIR in my city took a few NWA pax.. CAN you GUESS why PTO? connection flt cxld due to maintaince. Apparently scabs just are not destined for the MAJOR AIRLINE INDUSTRY as old doug stealin thief thought

Indeed thats a possibility, whatever the reason Im sure we're in for a real treat of story telling and SCAB adventure when the PTO decides to grace the boards again. 🙄

In all honesty I can't name the personel who were performing maint. on the Jamaica flight.

I am however very happy that I didn't have to depend on NW to fly me anywhere. 😛

I too have been away for six days and was surprised at how few posts there have been on the NW board. It took only a few minutes to catch up.

Say what you may, PTO sure kept things lively around here. Without him the AMFA strike supporters (especially those from AA) have no one to attack.

Admit you miss him. He at least provided you with a verbal punching bag and provided some inside info on the NW 'SCAB' world.
