Non-refundable really meaning non refundable!!

All this bickering about the new policy...A lot of top tier customers complained that they buy refundable tickets and fly more than those customers who buy these reduce fare tickets..and those customers with the reduce fare tickets are able to achieve the same level as they do and often get the perks faster than they do..

A high percentage of people who buy tickets regardless of how much they pay for it , fly on the flight they booked...

Customers of U there are always exceptions to every rule..

I believe a good alternative to the DM miles program that deals with attaining a higher tier level is that they launch a program in which for every 3 segment equals a segment as if you paid for a refundable ticket or a percentage of the mileage goes toward attaining a higher tier level...

That seems to be the party line. How many complaints are we talking about?

This is such crap. If you actually buy a refundable ticket and don't "get the perks" you've done something wrong -- like not ask for them. (Not that you even have to ask for most of them.) Or maybe these guys just haven't bothered to sign up for DM?

The only perk that I can think of that has actually been diluted by expansion of the ranks of preferred is pre-boarding. It is true that darned near half the plane is preferred on a lot of flights. But that can be fixed without this balogna.

If there are complaints find out what's really happening and fix it.
