Non-Rev Question for Furloughee

I'm on a voluntary furlough and have been for 3 years. I still have my pass privileges, however I haven't used them since right after I left, so I'm more than a little rusty with this whole process. But I'm flying transatlantic as a non-rev soon and any help from other furloughees (voluntary or otherwise) or gate agents would be greatly appreciated here. How do I go about listing for flights, getting a ticket, etc? I know it may be a little more complicated due to the fact that it's transatlantic because I have to pay departure tax. Is that paid when I purchase my ticket? Thanks in advance!
