According to this & all the news reports, doesn't look like a good day to fly in the NE. I hope I'm wrong but if things happen the way they usually do US will screw many customers & they will spend their new years in one of the hubs & Clt has no last bank tonight.

To all down line stations, please don't send miscon. psgrs. to the hubs .

While this was predicted to change quickly to rain, that has not happened as yet. It started earlier than expected, and the roads here in NY are treacherous to say the least. If anyone is out and about in NY please drive carefully.

Happy Healthy SECURE and PROSPEROUS New Year to you all...

Why is it US's fault that the flying spaghetti monster decided it should snow today? I'm so sick of pax (yeah, PAX) griping everytime it storms and the system hiccups. Would you rather try to fly in a blizzard? Mmmmm??? What? You like windshear? Huhhhh? Turbulence doesn't hurt???
It's snowing. It IS December. It happens.

Funny thing I think I'm more tired of hearing customer whine about weather as well.

Here's a true Master of the Obvious statement.

If it takes longer to travel by car in a rain shower doesn't logic dictate that a major weather event will delay air travel?

I must be the odd ball because I've been stuck in PHL for 14 hours trying to get to the west coast and was genuinely grateful that the Club Reps busted their everloving assets to find a way to get me there in First to boot. Granted I ended up at an alternate airport and had to drive 2 hours to get to my hotel but the bottom line was I made the meeting the next day. I just don't see how griping, grumbling and harassing gate agents is a productive endeavor. In my situation I could have barked and screamed, yelled and threw a hissy fit and arrived in SAN at exactly the same time or not at all as compared to smiling and saying "Do what you can, I'm flexible"

Of course I don't book a morning flight on the day of the cruise either

Quite a few people who took two or three days to get to their Christmas destinations are now finding it will take a few days to get back home. A number of cxld flights today due to PHL ATC, flights to PHL from some out stations are full through the weekend.

Not very pretty.

The actual weather situation is beyond the control of management at US Airways. However having a good recovery plan and proper staffing is in the control of management at US Airways.

Does anyone disagree with that?

That and all of the new TSA nonsense will surely scare off the leisure travelers for a while. 🙄
