Ya know, something about this "good faith bargaining" statement rings of hypocracy. What was AMFA's contingency plan if talks failed? I believe the vote was to strike, and they let NWA know it. Fair enough, and in good faith. They palnned so far in advance for the mechanic stike. There was no good faith. How can anyone work with such an evil empire?
<_< <_<

NWA contingency plan if talks failed was to replace AMFA, and they made no secret about it, also fair enough and in good faith. Both sides had contingency plans, both sides told the other of such plans, and both sides carried out said plans. The fact that one side was much more prepared than the other does not constitute bad faith, merely good planning.
🙂 I like her.I think the point may be: was it ethical?
🙂 I like her.
Was it? I think that is based on the infamous, "That’s a matter of opinion and everybody has one." Was it ethical for NWA to have a contingency plan that would basically devastate its mechanics that had decades with the company but upheld its union above and beyond any type of rational?
Was it Ethical for AMFA to lead its members into an abyss because it was so hell bent on sticking to its motto "No Concessions"?
Would it have been ethical for NWA to stay on its course and do nothing until it was forced into chapter 7 destroying at least 30,000 jobs?
Was it Ethical for AMFA to lose 4500 jobs instead of 2300?
Oh this could go on and on. I guess it just determines on what side of the fence you are on. Be careful testing it sometimes you'll get a hell of a shock. Isn't that right Dea?
😱 😉 😀you don't have to like me that much. <_<
I bite.
*chomp* *chomp* *chomp*😱 😉 😀I gotta go to bed you guys are killing me. PTO signing off.
Jenny, since pto doesnt know how to answer your simple question, I'll answer it for you. It was unethical what NWA did. They never had any intention on negogiating in GOOD FAITH. They knew that they wanted to get rid of AMFA and sadly enough it happened. I do know of many people who wont fly NWA due to NWA inefficent way of handling any situations such as the AMFA strike. Regardless of what that scab PTO says, NWA is not a safe and not a reliable airline.
well .... yes if you add it all together you can tell NW did push AMFA into a strike and I sort of believe the people at the top of AMFA really didn't understand what NW was trying to do.
Well about being "safe"... I personally know a scab that had worked on the NW and CO and he told me himself he would never put his mom on those airlines....
About reliablility... well, I went to look at prices for tickets and I see "60% on time" or "80% on time"...
that's interesting. No matter how the pilots route the plane I guess it will always be late!
Robbed....It is funny how PTO answered Jenny's one question with 5 more questions and not one answer. He should do real well at the HR meeting. Also, since Jenny is a f/a with Northworst I'm sure she wasn't expecting an answer any way. Or perhaps she was looking for a SCABS perspective on the question. Of course Jen you can read past bloggs to get that.
I have a question or more for you Jenny. I've been to your website and there seems to be an awful lot of in fighting amoungst you F/A's. Do you feel perhaps you (f/a's) should have walked when the AMFA mechanics were forced to the streets? Do you feel your careers are over? (Meaning they will never be what they used to be.) I don't know your seniority, but do you feel the f/a's will do the ethical thing (which to me is to do what AMFA did, stand up for all Amfa members not just save the positions at the top) or do you think your fellow brothers and sisters will sell each other out?
Just curious at where you stand. Welcome to the forum.
ps anyone visiting Jenny's forum should read the rules first. She will have no mention of monkey butts. LOL
What’s wrong with the uniforms? The only nasty part of the uniform is the ignorant reflective vest that is absolutely useless. Now that is embarrassing to wear. Especially when you are working on a loaded aircraft with passengers. Even after you wash the things they are dingy and grungy. It bothered me at first and still does to a degree but oh well. It's NWA's passengers I am rubbing up against when I have to work my way down the isle of a boarding aircraft. If they don't care I don't see why I should. It does still bug me though.as for the Scabs... how can they wear that nasty blue unifoms? it's disgusting.
This wouldn't be the same scab that was fired just after the strike then went on T.V. and told the nation that he, an FAA Certified A&P Mechanic was incapable of changing a tire, would it? He made the whole "craft" across the country look like it was filled with a bunch of bumbling idiots.Everyone has their reasons for scabbing. But scabbing just ruins the whole point of striking. If we don't stick together it's all going to fall apart. Some of these people (like the guy who said they wouldn't put their mom on NW or CO) didn't understand that they worked for a "scab company".
actually, the same bumbling idiot scab is just one of all the bumbling idiot scabs that are suppose to be fixing planes but instead are the ones who look like theyre fixing the planes just them look like theyre working. I believe Jenny in an earlier post told the board that a scab wouldnt put their own family members on a NWA plane. boy that sure speaks loud and clear about the shoddy maintaince going on at NWA! anyways I know a number of people who dont like NWA uniforms and sure as heck wont fly NWA due to its UNSAFE and UNRELIABLE CONDITIONSWhat’s wrong with the uniforms? Just for the record I have six family members on my flight benefit list and they have all flown on NWA now at least twice and look forward to enjoying more flights. I have no qualms at all about letting my family fly Northwest. I myself fly NWA just about every week now and have yet had any problems other than being bumped a couple of time and spending an extra hour or two at the airport. You guys killed that extra wait time quick.
