Seems like a good decision...after all, if the way the right wing went after Clinton is any example, you'd want to make their job a LOT tougher if you plan on getting anything done.
But who's fault was it that the 'vast right wing conspiracy' went after the best president ever?

Dell...why was Ken Starr assigned as a special prosecutor? What did he find for what he was hired to look into (answer-nothing)...how come he began investigating things that had nothing to do with what he was originally hired to investigate?But who's fault was it that the 'vast right wing conspiracy' went after the best president ever?
Looking at his actions, I'd have to agree that there was indeed a vast right wing conspiracy - funded by Richard Mellon Shaife.
Here's a typical conversation in Ken Starrs office:
"Looks like we got nothing on Clinton in this Whitewater thing"
"Yeah...but look here...here's a story of Clinton being part of a cocaine smuggling ring in Little Rock"
"I'm on the case"
weeks later
"Well, we came up empty on the coke deal"
"Not to worry....have you heard about the goings on in the travel office?"
"I'll check into that"
months later
"Sad to say, nothing we can nail him with in the travel office"
"Yeah...but you know, don't you think the suicide of the Foster guy looks kinda fishy"
"Yeah...I'd heard he'd been Hillary's secret lover...I'm on the case...get Falwell on the phone for me, I think he had a pretty illuminating video on this"
"You got it boss"
months later
"Well..the Foster thing didn't pan out...turns out he really did kill himself"
"Yeah Ken...but check this out - some troopers in Arkansas told me that Clinton dropped trou in front of some chick with a big nose"
"Hey...she's kinda cute except for that schnoz...but the REST of her...not bad at all. A little nosejob and she'd be a candidate for Playboy"
"Can I help you look into this one? I'd kinda like to meet her myself"
"Sure...maybe she can tell us any particular things about Clintons dick...this one sure is juicy"
many months later
"Kenny my boy, I think you hit paydirt...Clinton can't seem to keep his pants up...offered to pay the chick off...and hey...I got a call from some gal named Linda...said she had a gal whose an aide in the white house confiding in her...claims she gave Bill a hummer"
"Wow...is she as hot as this Paula gal?"
"A little chunky, but I wouldn't turn her away"
And then there was an impeachment.
Now - if that a vast right wing consipiracy, what is?

It was a Congressional hearing Dell, not like they abide by the rule of law or rules of evidence as in a standard court. Impeachments are purely partisan. That's not to say they are with out merit but they are what they are. Clinton committed perjury to a GJ about his actions with Lewinsky. Bush Lied to the US about the situation in Iraq. One was impeached by a republican Congress and one was not.

Apparently because he lied about a blowjob that was investigated because of a real estate deal. I'm still trying to figure out how the two were connected enough that a special prosecutor that was hired to investigate a real estate deal ended up investigating a blowjob that involved no parties from the real estate deal. You have to admit that Starr was more of a special persecutor than prosecutor.Too many loose ends there KC.....more than Palin will ever have....

Funny...I don't have recollections of anything like Clinton back to Dwight D....sure,there's been investigations into every admin pretty much....but a guy like him comes along with all that baggage and you guys act surprised.What was it...how you said about Sarah?? Yes, there HAVE been investigations for years. But...in the case of Clinton, all one had to do was post an article (no need to substantiate, just post it) in the American Spectator and Ken Starr was on the case. Hey...I had no problem with Starr "investigating" Whitewater...nothing was found. My question is - why were taxpayers paying this guys salary after the results of his investigation were complete and no wrong was found? When did "special persecutor" become a full time staff position? Tell me then...how many of Starr's investigations were warranted? After Whitewater, why did the guy still have a job. If we had a "special prosecutor" that was impaneled January 21, 2001, what kind of dirt could we have dug up on Bush?
