You're a little late to the party. Corporate Socialism is alive and well. Just ask Bear Stearns, AIG, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Fannie and Freddie, GMC, etc...or is it only an issue when it becomes social socialism?

The days of private profits and socialized losses are officially over.

Hope has trumped fear.

I wish the best for our next President.

You have an unknown,unproven quantity.

He's going to have Muslim problems with his stand on

abortion,Christianity and several other issues.

They will come after him.

Get back to me in July.

I did notice, looking out the window..the Sun came up today...

I couldn't agree more.

Although I voted for JM I will vote for Barack Obama next round if he accomplishes half of his promises.

God Guide and Bless our New President and Thank God W is fading away!

I cannot understand how on the same day California bans gay marriage that they overwhelmingly elect a liberal socialist in the form of Barack Obama.

If this isn't an indication of the dysfunctional nature of California politics, I don't know what is.

Fear not socialism my Republican friends...We're doing fine here. California is already a socialist welfare state, so I don't anticipate too many changes happening here. Oh, i forgot to mention we're bankrupt, despite our oppressively high taxes.

I was watching the election results last night in my family room, and had the backdoor open. When al of sudden I heard the strangest sound. At first I thought it was a UFO sent down by the neo-con controlled history channel. But then upon stepping outside I realized it was a chorus of trumpets, ringing out from the sky. At that moment I realized that the American people had pleased our Heavenly Father. We had ignored a man's skin color and name. We had opted for a leader who may end a war started for oil and wealth, without regard for his ethnicity.

What's more we were so unified in our beliefs that not since women were given the right to vote, was there such a magnificent voter turnout.

Seriously though, he could turn out to be a louse. That remains to be seen. I personally am proud of the fact that Americans elected the man without bias toward his color.

He may be a radical as has been suggested by some. So were the founders of this country we all love

Give him a chance. Bush got two chances, and screwed up both times.

Don't worry, next time California votes to allow same sex marriages, it will pass. In 2000, the vote against same sex marriage was 61% to 34%. In 2008 there was only a 4% difference (with 95% counted). Next time around gays will win and they will finally achieve equal rights.
