Obuma....Without a Teleprompter.........

There are countless crossings that are visually impaired so that a pedestrian or vehicle are unable to see down the track to see a on coming train.

The rails might have been their first but the rails rely on people to buy the products that they are transporting to various vendors. Circle of life.

So , do you believe the rail company doesn't pay the government any taxes? Or is it,you feel, they don't pay their "Fair Share" ?

No, the public at large paid-and pays- those taxes...

What do taxes have to do with maintaining rail way crossings?

Whole lot guy.

In fiscal year 2011, $220 million was allocated to the States under SAFETEA-LU. This amount has remained relatively unchanged during the last twenty years (varying from $140 M to $155 M since 1987), as has the method for allocating the money between the States. The SAFETEA-LU funds for grade-crossing safety improvements are available at a 90-percent Federal share, with the remaining 10 percent to be paid by State and/or local authorities and/or the railroad. The Federal share may amount to 100 percent for the following projects: signing; pavement markings; active warning devices; the elimination of hazards; and crossing closures. The decision on whether to allow 100-percent Federal funding rests with the individual States.

I was not talking about what funds get used to maintain the crossings (I know that Federal money is used). I was questioning why it makes a difference of how much taxes the rail lines pay or don't pay. Their tax burden does not seem relevant to whether or not, or what funds are used to maintain the lines and make them safe.

Without his trusty sidekick, Teleprompt, the truth comes out !
The small business owner did "NOT" build his company and owes all his success to the government !

"Did Obama Say, ‘If You’ve Got a Business, You Didn’t Build That’?"

"The president’s argument, which is similar to one made by Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, revolves around the idea that business people need the infrastructure provided by the government in order to succeed."

http://abcnews.go.co...dnt-build-that/

Now let me get this straight. The small business owner, who started with an idea, invested his money, his time, his blood and sweat, did not build that company?

That owner and people who frequent his business do not pay taxes for the infrastructure every day of their lives, already ?.............Well at least 47% of us who pay taxes !

This guy is a complete idiot and a "TRUE" Marxist !

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need"

What was it, Charlotte Motor Speedway and the road to it built by private concerns and the government built a pedestrian bridge to the parking lot and it collapsed?

Mitt Romney has said pretty much the same thing.

So I guess we just take your word for it then ?

Were supposed to take your word for everything? Since you obviously misrepresented the facts of what he said, just as Fox News and talk radio did I would say no?

Here's what he actually said....

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help," Obama said. "There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

Is there anything in there you disagree with? So what he really said was that while you might have built a successful business you did not build the system that made it possible. The problem is that someone took just a part of the quote and misrepresented it and made it sound the way it did. I'm guessing under the assumption that people are too lazy or blinded by their own partisanship to ask questions.

Here's another quote from his speech...

"The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together," Obama said. Anything you disagree with.

At the 9:30 minute mark.

So why is his campaign still backpedeling and freaking out from that remark?

Selective editing. Isn't that how He and Mitt make ads?

All campaigns do it. The big difference here is that there's a news organization that says they are fair and balanced yet seem's to be anything but in this case.
