Official: AMR Bankrupt

Not desperate? Who mentioned anything about system seniority - why bring that up? Is that a Freudian slip? BTW, I came to grips with the grim situation over a year ago when my class II closed. Stop trying to pass yourself off as the only victim here!
I did several times. I mentioned the possibility of each unit, Line OH or AFW being Red Circled to prevent churn. I am sure that you are reading most of the threads concerning AA.

I am interested in how you perceive anything I have posted as passing myself off as the only victim here?
You are dillusional at best and worst case ignorant and have no valid responses to add to the debate.

Seniority will determine who many of the "victims" are, that is why I bring it up.

BTW, your class II station closing is a pebble in the sand compared to what we will see.

Pebble to you maybe. I see where you're coming from. It's all about you. You selfish SOB!

Valid responses? Who the hell do you think you are? Obi Wan the welder?

<_<------- When I moved my family here to MCI in 1992, TWA had about the same number of people working the Overhaul Base as you do now in TUL. Today there are none! -------- Let's hope history dosn't repeat itself!!!

I think Barron's misread the filing. AA is curing defaults by the deadline since failure to do so would allow the lessor/debt holder to repossess the aircraft. In the filing, AA specifically says that "Neither this 1110 Election Notice nor any agreement made hereunder shall constitute an assumption by the Debtors
of the Aircraft Agreement under section 365 of the Bankruptcy Code (to the extent that such section is applicable),
and nothing contained herein shall be construed to constitute such an assumption."

AA has asked for and I believe that the court has approved an extension of the deadline for determining which leases/EETC's to reject so this allows AA to avoid facing repossession before those decisions are made. FWIW, it appears that these are all Eagle aircraft although other filings are for returning another 12 planes.

Agreed. Anytime reporters try to read court filings and interpret them, there will be errors.

The filing lists all 47 Eagle CRJ-700s; I assume that if any Eagle planes are going to be retained, it will be these.

Hey RP...... A penny for your thoughts.......
A quarter for your stock......
You are the worst CEO in the history of the US!!!!
You destroyed the great AMERICAN airline!!!
Then ran and hid like a coward!!!

BoeingBoy,I would like your thoughts on one of the "First Day Filings". This motion was filed on Nov,29,2011 "Motion of Debtors for entry of order pursuant to 11 U.S.C. && 105(a) and 363 (B) payments of wages, salaries and benefits and pension payment. The motion was filed and the Judge replied back the same day allowing AMR/American Airlines to leave it up to there judgement as to paying the required payments to our pensions be paid: The following payments were recorded on pg 11 of the motion, Flight Attendants 16 million due 1/15/12,another 13 million due 9/15/2012. TWU 37 million 1/15/12 and 19 million due 9/15/12.Agents management, specialist, support, officers 22 million due 1/15/12 and 23 million 9/15/12. Pilot Retirement Benefit program 24 million due 1/15/2012 and 50 million due 9/15/2012.One can assume real shortly that if we do not see a payment on 1/15/2012 we can expect were these pension will be heading real soon after, the payments are miss the PGBC will increase their insurance premiums almost asap.I would expect a statement from the PGBC shorty there after if AMR decide's not to make these payments. This might be a good time real soon to bring this to light for we are fast approaching this payment date. Your thoughts on how the unions should deal with this, wildcat, walkout, hold a press conference or cut KFC coupons and go to lunch.
