OHIO

Don't take it too personally. There are lots of people I don't agree here on a regular basis.

<extreme sardonicism not targeted at LLLLL>
I just don't find it necessary to write 20 page theses about why they're clearly less informed than I am.

Sardonicism??  WTF....

Is this like the twelve dreams of Doctor Sardonicus?

Normally, I'd just revert to sarcasm, but there needs to be irony present for it to be effective.

Sardonicism is much easier and less restrictive.

And way over LaLa's head.

Now you notice a trend? Twenty years too late.
I noticed a trend a long time ago. I have never seen it pursued so aggressively as what Ohio is doing right now though. Maybe I have just never taken notice of it before but it definitely has my attention now.

Yeah for someone who ignores people, it ain't right to speak.

OHIO is definitely an anti-union state.

First off, who are you to speak for us in Ohio?

That website is a production of the state government's cheerleading department.  I personally know many of them.  Shall I keep going?

Because of GE Aircraft Engine in CVG (and Wright Pat AFB) Ohio is a large supplier to the aircraft manufacturers.  We most definitely are not South Carolina.  Sigh.

You are delusional about Timco and other wild claims that Ohio is cheap.

It never used to be that way.
Once GE, GM and the steel mills went, it was pretty much a free-for-all to get work.
Union job -vs- eating gets pretty competitive on the eating side.
Just a perspective from an ole exBuckeye...
😛

History of the Ohio AFL-CIO
The Ohio AFL-CIO was formed in 1958 to battle a right-to-work campaign backed by Ohio Republicans and big businesses. Since that merger of the state’s craft and industrial unions, the Ohio AFL-CIO has been at the forefront of struggles for political power and economic and social justice for working families. Our strength derives from 650,000 union men and women who are affiliated with the Ohio AFL-CIO through 48 international unions and 1,600 local unions. Along with 300,000 union retirees, they are the individuals who provide the collective power of the Ohio AFL-CIO.

First off I did not speak for Ohio. Ohio spoke for themselves with an advertising blitz.

There really is no point. You only validate my point that Ohio as a state is targeting businesses to come and take advantage of cheap labor.

That is a good thing. I hope it lasts.

Yeah, I wonder where I got an idea like that?

No comment? Timco is just one of many.

Why would you not be at least open minded when it comes to Unions? Every Saturday you spend at home with your family was brought to you by the Coal Miners of WV and the WV Coal Field Wars, Those who were shot at in Bethlehem Steel in 1939. Whether we like it or not we owe our standard of living to Unions.

NOW, if you want to debate what the modern day union has become that's a different story.

Exactly, Now think about that for a second as you cash your concession riddled paycheck. ARE WE ON THE SAME PAGE NOW?????

That is all I ever have debated. I have said many times that UNIONS need to pull out of the political funding business and get back to their roots. Where the hell have you been?
