Other suitors come out of the woods after AA

Sorry , I tried a link and it doesn't work but basically it looks as if Willie Walsh CEO or British Airways and head of International Airline Group (IAG) is interested in buying a stake in AA. It's a foreign entity so I am not quite sure if they are allowed to do this . I just don't know .

And yes, they are allowed. Up to 50% equity and 25% of the voting rights for now. Its listed in the Federal Aviation act of 1938. However, there has been legislation proposed to "up" that figure.

Agreed, and I'm no fan, but you don't have to take it out on the rest of us. I don't want to see a merger with your company either.

"Dude". Like I said, like a west pilot.

You said "USA320Pilot can help you more if you need...". Saying that he can help you is an insult. Look at your tag line...insult.

BA owned almost 25% of US in the mid-1990s and BA sold its stake in 1997 after US sued BA because BA wanted to get in bed with AA. Don't they teach US employees any institutional history?

Two thoughts come to mine .... first if I remember the BA/US years correctly ... there was mumbling then that they (BA) wanted US & AA merged. Didn't happen and they turned their attention to an AA with a major hub planed for RDU which failed ..... Maybe they will finally get their wish, both airlines .... with a CLT hub.

The other is ...... have you ever thought about where all this cash ($15B) to make this happen is coming from .... did it get squeezed from aviation labor via bankruptcy and lost pensions and wages that followed. Follow the money, these wall street guys/IAG are slick dicks .... is the 15B really stolen loot? Your pension, that had to be dumped cause they just couldn't afford it?
