The Federal Aviation Administration and USAirways say they are investigating an incident Saturday in which two passenger jets bumped on the runway at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, forcing the aircraft back to the gates.
A tape of radio communications leading up to the incident, obtained by The Observer’s news partner NewsChannel 36, raises the question that a pilot’s concern over fuel levels might have led to the bump.
