Don't worry...been on Delta fairly recently. And the call goes out..."First class and medallion passengers are free to board at their convenience"...and the whole damn gate area heads for the agent. They had to make an announcement which basically said "You low life good for nothing non-elite passengers, what part of "medallion only" did you not understand." At which point 85% of those folks headed away from the agent. About the time they got to a chair, the call went up for rows 22 and higher to board....and everybody and their dog returned to the agent. Seems to me that the plane might be a tad tail heavy, given the large numbers of passengers who were in rows "22 and higher". And yes, my Delta flights have been on time - I guess because we sat at the gate with the doors closed for a good 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Makes it pretty easy to get that "on time pushback".
