Not hearing good things from our potential passengers, one women stated that she actually called back because whoever she had in the third world could not understand or answer her questions, stated the agent was polite ...but English was obviously a second language....had some other comments regarding how time consuming and frustrating it was to book with overseas agent 1 passenger stated over 1 hour on the phone, for something that should've been simple....also another quoted 1350.00 rt / called got the Pit office and rate was actually 522.00....this should be interesting....

The outsourced agents aren't catching on very quickly, lots of pnr errors, especially with award tickets. Res will be a nightmare for quite awhile, with Pit closing, new hires all around and all the specialty areas in INT getting new agents and training them for new functions. Good thing we have the website- most passengers book on it you know, it is perfect and there are few if any problems with it. LOL

I had three episodes dealing with offshore res agents in the past few months. All three calls were for relatively simple matters and contained multiple, extensive times on hold for the agent to gather more information or to speak with someone else. No satisfactory conclusions could be reached with any of the calls.

In two of the episodes, I called back and was able to speak with someone located in PIT or INT. The issues were resolved. In the third case, I called AA and booked with them for the first time in 9 years. There was no wait and minimal automated menu, even for the standard reservations line.

US Airways used to provide the shortest reservation waits, non-stop service or time efficient connecting service and excellent on-time performance. The decrease in quality in all of these areas should be a red flag to potential investors as the problems have been getting worse in recent months. Hopefully, summer thunderstorms and ATC delays won't exacerbate this disturbing trend.
