If DoUgIe couldn't buy DL, he isn't going to be able to buy WN.

I think airline analysts are the worst type of speculative parasites. They get paid to do even less than CEO's. In my opinion, they are wrong far more than they are right, and they get paid buy news organizations and financial firms to inflate stock value based on speculation.

Plus, I'm pretty sure from this year's testimony in front of the Senate Transportation Subcommittee that Congress would probably find a way to quash such a scheme if the shareholders of WN did not.

How is that?

They have the highest paid employees in the industry.

They can pay cash for improvements.

They treat their employees well.

They provide a standard against which incompetance will fail.

While the analyst make a good point, at least in theory, muircross' point touches on an important point that isn't theory. If anyone thinks the DL folks made a ruckus about the US buyout proposal just wait till someone tries to buy WN.
