Well, US's schedule for the Superbowl Week features 4x daily flights - 1x 733 and 3x 734.

Wonder how the consist is going to change now that the Eagles have made it to the big dance.

Congrats boys.

Will be even more interesting to see if the Steelers go. US has no non-stop service (right now) from PIT to JAX.

well if the steelers go i bet usair will charter a jet for the team and fans to go from pit to jax

Never having been to a Superbowl, I'd presume that most folks would want to fly into JAX on the 5th.

From PHL:

4X 2 -300's, 2 -400's (it's 1 Emb-170, 2 -300's, and 1 -400 the next Saturday)

From PIT:

1X 1 -300 (it's an Emb-170 the following Saturday)

From CLT:

6X 2 -300's, 3 RJ's, 1 321 (4 RJ's, 1 -300, 1 321 the following Saturday)

Hmm,

I see a host of "One Time Special Charge-Offs" to be reported for this up-coming quarter as U's Operations in PHL and PIT take a serious nose dive on 6 Feb 05. (This is if the Steelers adavance to the Super Bowl of course) PHL's fate for that deal is sealed already.

Imagine if you will all the sickcalls that are going to take place from people whom are about to be furloughed or outsourced in those places.

The Panthers flew on a 767 and they charted a 757 and an A321 for the families and other employees.

I know the Steelers fly US, does the Eagles?

Ditto to what Jennyann said. Now all that's left is for the Steelers to make it an all PA superbowl....

Jim

Yea, that's right Eagles are gonna win it all.

The Eagles use Northwest. Chances are they will charter a 744, DC10 and possibly 753 for the team and families

USAir is the offical airline of the Philadelphia Eagles. My guess is that they fly the charters for them.

Its a win-win-win for US if they can promote it properly. All three of the teams still in it are from US cities, so I'd say its up to Management to promote this as much as they can.

The Eagles are going to crumble before the greatness that has become the Patriot Dynasty. A week ago all of you Steeler loyalists said my Pats had no chance in PIT. Guess who's laughing now? (All the way to JAX). You can all go cry in your Iron City Beer now.

One other thing, in front of Lincoln Financial Field there is an enormous sign stating that US Airways is the "official" carrier of the Philadelphia Eagles, so wouldn't that mean US actually flies the Eagles to their various destinations? Or is this just bogus misrepresentation? How could the Eagles use Northwest since they are very limited in what they offer out of PHL?

GO PATS!!!

For an airline to be the official airline of a team is just advertisement and possibly other purposes, but it does not mean that the airline is specifically the carrier of choice for charters.

Southwest is the official airline for the Philadelphia 76ers and Flyers, however i've never seen them use Southwest as a charter, they use Northwest or other charter airlines. Southwest is the official carrier of the NFL but not one NFL team uses Southwest as their charter. I know the 737's make it less diserable but it's just to prove a point.

I've been tracking Eagles charter flight for years now and they always use Northwest, including this season. That's why i say they will use Northwest. It doesn't matter that Northwest is limited in PHL, they just ferry an aircraft in from DTW or MSP. In fact once a year the Eagles use an NWA 742 during the regular season and it's always ferried in from MSP.
