Phoenix

I lived in PHX 71-to 72.5 --was based at Luke---farming was the thing back then not massed housing---Sawyer Aviation and ol Darrel was instructing king in the valley--I loved it but wife hated it--->dust storms and scorching heat. OUCH

One of the best if not the best major airline domiciles/hub in the continental US, why? weather and cost of living.

Though I'm a northeast native I lived in Las Vegas which has a very similar climate to Phoenix. It rarely gets as hot as Phoenix but the difference isn't that noticable. I got banged up pretty good in a car accident in 1999 and let me tell ya, I felt MUCH better every morning living out there than I do up here in Snowmans land. I like the seasons. THAT was the only thing I missed in vegas. Like any city in america Phoenix has it's good points and bad. Hopefully we can all be in a place that we choose to live.

Ok, I want a job that will pay me just in the 6 figures and let me live in PHX in winter and DC in spring, summer and fall... and be interesting and introduce me to fun, smart people, and give me the flexibility to pursue competitive sports!

I would love to live in Las Vegas, but I'd probably kill myself within a year. All those Buffetts. The gambling too, but that just came here, at least slots. I would have a hard time staying away from those Buffetts. The one in Paris I like and the Mirage's. As for Casino's, I love the Palms. Those TV's I can watch while playing Blackjack.
I am starting to get the itch to go.

I love Vegas! I built and flipped a house there three years ago. It was the best gambling I ever did. I love the buffets, especially Rio's. I like Jimmy Buffett's place too :D Vegas is my favorite lay-over.

I lived in Green Valley. My place was about 1.5 miles down the road from Green Valley Ranch Casino. The buffet at Green Valley was incredible. I hardly EVER went to the strip except for the occasional show or when we had company. Oh wait, I had more visitors when I lived in Vegas than any time in my life. So I guess I was there a lot. People form an opinion about vegas based on the overnight. Sooooo many times people would say, "I could NEVER live here" or "Ugggg how do you handle living here". I'm like, "Are you kidding". North Las Vegas, Lake Las Vegas and Green Valley are absolutely beautiful. Back to Phoenix though, a friend of mine is planning on building somewhere in Scottsdale.

Frankly, I'd rather do a PHX summer then a DC summer. The humidity in DC is a killer. I lived in Columbia and Laurel for 10 years before I moved out here.

Not if you're flying between DCA-LGA-BOS, the busiest corridor in the country.

It's not where you fly to, it's where you start and end the trip that matters. :p The best domicile has a warm climate with a good economy and reasonable cost of living. PHX is one of the best of any airlines domiciles.
