Which was the wind speed earlier last week 😉
Too bad it's facing east and west...gonna be a very hot summer in there

Not any hotter than any of the hangars that face North/South? You ever work in 4A or 4D in the summer? Those are hot hangars

Well since the AA Maintenance facility has never been hit by a tornado....... <_<
Well that means they are past due!!! Seriously I hope that never happens bro. We have some clowns down here at AFW that say" I wish a tornado would take this place out" clowns to left of me jokers to the right................

AFW isn't exactly known for it's mild summers either.

Military uses a similar design now. DOD standard is 65 mph sustained winds for 30 minutes, and these hold up.

Not sure about a direct hit from a tornado, but the same can be said for any pre-engineered sheet metal structure. Fabric might even be better because it will give, as opposed to resisting the and putting all the wind energy against the frame...
<_< ----- Your not sure of a direct hit?----- I am!----- It would take it out! But like you said, it would also take out a conventional building! I believe what your going to have here is wether it could survive a "near miss!"? Which could easily be in excess of 65 MPH! The article said it survived a Tornado!---- Right? My question would be when, and where? And what do they call a tornado?

Bought with Corporate Welfare Funds, Insured with Government Back Funds.

Nothing to be concerned about.

<_< -------- Oh I'm not disputing what they're saying. I'm just asking myself, would I want to be working in that hanger if in fact there was a tornado, say like the one that hit Oak City a few years back, in the neighborhood?

So if there building a new Fabric hangar what are they closing that is up now?

 -----777's???
dwh/afw closing all work to tul 767/777 any overflow to the skygods of mci they can keep all the p.o.s. patched together with hack repairs until such time as idiot management runs the airlines totally into the ground and the all pieces can be sold off. I think that about covers it. have a nice day...not
