several persons in supervision have passed on a rather glum outlook for pit base maintenance recently. COB supervisory bids were taken and canidates were offered positions at certain salary then had the offers withdrawn. word on the floor is sometime after the merger bus checks will go to CLT as there will be ample room with a decline in the 737 fleet.
also of note, Air canada has been looting the tooling rather carte blanche getting for the most part what they desire.
discipline in base and line is up with many chickenshit PE-1'S....rumor of a big layoff is imminent..... 😉
its anybodies guess what will come of the fleet work in CLT as to widebodies and what will survive the merger.....maybe lots of room down beyond the mason-dixon line soon.
