What's new

Pledge of Allegiance

I got news for you. You are the one who will need to deal with it. The US is becoming more diverse.

So I don't know what to tell you but we are not going to move and we are not going to shut up. We will continue to fight and we will continue to win. You had a free ride for 200 years and now we are fighting back.

Trust me, we haven't had a free ride for 200 years. Countless brave men and women have died for this nation. They died to create it. They died to defend it. Trust me, this nation has 200 years of blood that have bought us our freedoms. And we understand that.

Its once people with your way of thinking started taking over, this nation has been in decline. Turn you back on God and He will turn His back on you...which is US, the USA.

Strip God from society and this society will NEVER see another 200 years. We will be just another formerly important world power on the trash heap of history. The ancient world is full of has-been world powers.

This nation WAS founded AS a Christian nation, WITH THE RECOGNITION of Freedom OF Religion so other faiths could come and openly and freely worship. But this nation was founded as a Christian nation, belief in the One creator God, who manifests Himself in the Trinity, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Regardless of what you think or feel, that is fact and that won't change. Our future isn't written and that is yet to be determined. But the way this nation is going, the entire world in fact, there isn't another 200 years left.

Those who are ignorant of there past are doomed to repeat it. Strip God and national patriatism from society and we will not succeed, but plunge into anarchy. And we are well on our way into that already.

What a condesending, ignorant, and rude response......to someone posting a thought about THEIR beliefs. Oh yea, You are in America, where MEN died for your right to such an ignorant, condesending, and very BIG mouth. Why don't you just practice your belief the way you want, and not berate, belittle, and make your cute little smart remarks about that which you don't believe in.

Have a nice day.....tough guy B)

Oh....and may GOD bless you 🙂

I guess you missed
we are a Christian country
, I'm not so I am not wanted here? And
Do me a favor...move to Iran or Saudi Arabia and try to change their religous values and speak out against Muhammad and see what their reaction is. How far do you think you NON BELIEVERS will get?
, I never asked him to move. And
Piece of advice for you and all the other non-believers.....deal with it, if you don't like go live in another country.
.

Well, I'm not going any where. I am sick and tired of people such as you and ORD who think they can do as they want with out regard to the others around you. The part I don't understand and have never heard a reason for is why you people need you have your religion in public? Why can't you keep it behind closed doors like it's supposed to be. Religion is supposed to be private and personal.

You call me rude? That's a laugh. I've been told to leave this country so many GD times I have lost count. Apparently you have forgotten the 1st amendment. The 1st affords me the right to speak my mind with out fear from the likes of ORD telling me to leave. The 14th says that we all are afforded equal rights, not just some of us.

I never said he could not practice his beliefs as he sees fit. All I said was that he and all the rest of you need to do it in private. If my taxes pay for the school, I'll be damned if I am going to sit idle, while you get get to spout off your beliefs while others such as Wicca, Hindu, Shinto, Satanic, Islam and the rest must remain quite.

So here is the deal, if you get to have a christian pray in school, the wicca get to have their prayer and so the the satan worshipers and every other religion. Is that what you want or do you only want your christian religion in school and to hell with everyone else?

Check again.

Sparky, you do realize that there is no prayer in schools because you lost in court. You lost a whole bunch of times and you keep loosing. Why was the judge in the south punted when he would not remove his stone 10 commandments. Check the law and all the judgments that have come down over the last 40 -50 years.

Great comment! You lost in court. COURTS ARE NOT THE LAW MAKING arm of the federal government, that's Congress' job.

These "laws" that you so joyously try to rub in "Sparky"'s face are not Constitutionally legal. Hell, almost none of the liberal agenda is by acts of Congress...its all by usurped power unconstitutionally taken by unelected judges.

And then you wonder why "our" side is so "radical" about our beliefs. We UNDERSTAND our history and the founding of this nation.

Good grief, get over your self already.

BTW, did you let the Chinese know their days are numbered? How about the aboriginal tribes who have been around for thousands of years? I guess the USA is done for. Lets pack it in and call it a day.

When exactly did society start to go down hill? Was it when we stole the land from the natives who lived here and then tried to massacre them? Was it when we brought slaves over to the US and treated them as property. We even went so far as to put in your christian COTUS that they were not valued as a full human. Perhaps it was when we burned witches at the stake (sure wish I could have seen one fly around on her broom before they were all killed). Maybe it was when we made the blacks fight in segregated units who were given the crap assignments yet who fought better than most of their white counterparts and were later rewarded with yet more segregation (Buffalo Soldiers, Tuskegee Airmen ... ). Maybe it was when we took US citizens who looked different than round eye white man and stole their home and business and put them in prison camps because we thought they were a threat to their FELLOW americans. Hey, I know, maybe it was when the catholic priests started to molest little boys to get their rocks off and the Vatican sheltered those bastards to save their own asses.

Please. Tell me when your good ol'e christian country loose it's moral compass and start screwing people over.

The laws that are in violation of the COTUS are being stuck down by the USSC. You guys keep trying to force religion down the publics throat and the USSC keeps telling you that you can't do that. While you may not like the decisions I am pretty sure the USSC is in the COTUS. Yep, just looked and it's in Article III. Your christian founding fathers did notspecify how they were to be selected or how many of them there should be. Seems as though they did not foresee a whole bunch of stuff.

I was rubing the court decisions in his face, not the laws. The laws/ordinances or what ever got struck down by the USSC.

As for you being radical, I know why you are radical. Religion requires a flock. Flocks size needs to be maintained if not increased. In order to do that you need to reach as big of an audience as possible. Since you are being forced to keep it behind closed doors, that could be seen as a negative impact on your flock size. OH well.

Ignorance is bliss.

All of the cases lost were not "constitutionally legal?"

Unelected judges?

Do you mean the ones appointed to the Federal Courts?

All of them, or just the ones who you disagree with?

It sounds like you may need to revisit the way the three branches of government operate.

Study up, then come back. 🙄

Let's focus on the bold portion for a moment. When was the last time you argued in favor of allowing Wicca, Satanic worship, Hindu, Shinto or a 'prayer' from any other religion to be read in school or at a publicly sponsored event? I know you have argued to allow the christians to do so because you obviously do not have enough private places to do it. But what about the rest of us? You never argue to allow everyone else to practice their faith right along side yours. Have you ever argued to allow a pentagram beside your nativity scene on public property? What about a passage from the Koran beside your 10 commandments? Or a Hindu passage on the class room wall. Have you? I have never seen it on these boards.

I think your problem is you don't like the idea of all or nothing. All being all religions being given equal time and nothing being all religions be kept private. You seem to want it to be christianity or nothing. And that ain't going to fly any more. Those who do not believe as you have been quite for a long long time and we are not going to lay down and let you have your way any more. We are going to fight. Get used to it.

I’m confused.

We outlaw prayer in public schools but subsidize, at tax payer expense, foot washings stations at airports and universities so Muslims can practice their religion.

Community colleges and universities allow “meditation roomsâ€￾ for Muslims but “bible study roomsâ€￾ for Christians are banned. I got that right?

The Ten Commandments are demolished from court house veneer while Mosques are built on tax payer funded airports.

Garfield, you got the anti-religious fever, now point it in the right direction.

Do you have a post where I support the item you mentioned?

Tax/private monies should not be used to support any religion on any public lands. How is that for direction?

Well, to someone's words on here...when was the last time you spoke out against this action?

Thats funny, in the research I did and as far as I can remember, no one seemed to complain about it until 2002. No one seemed to mind when I was a kid in school.

Was Abraham Lincoln wrong for using it in the Gettysburg address? Were all the presidents wrong when they said it during there swearing in ceremonies?
Even The Messiah said it during his inauguration.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

So you're saying that if I don't believe in your god, I don't have a right to live in this country? The same country whose CONSTITUTION protects my right to believe what I want???

Typical republican, who only thinks the bill of rights applies to those who share your beliefs.

Ahh, more hypocrisy. You get all sensitive when people express doubt about the existence of your friend in the sky (which the 1st amendments gives us every right to do!). Yet most on the religious right have no problems with using terms like "immoral" when talking about "non-believers". They have no trouble with calling people "evil", just because they happen to love someone of the same gender. They have no trouble with a so-called representative of "god" saying that god hates Obama, and wants him killed. They have no trouble with a hate-spewing minister that pickets the funerals of people like Matthew Shepard and Barry Goldwater.

Every person mentioned above is exercisng their rights to free speech--including those that don't believe what you do.

Look at my previous posts. I have always said that public monies should never be used to support private beliefs on public lands. Just because I may not have addressed one specific issue (I do not remember every post I have made) does not mean I support it.

I have always been very clear on where I stand in regards to this issue. Do not use my money to support ANY religious belief.

Just as an aside. When I worked in crew skd, my counter part was a practicing Muslim. He prayed at least 3 to 4 times during the shift for about 15-20 min a pop. I had to cover both desks during that time frame. Ask me how I felt about someone getting a paid 1 hour break each day.

I have no use for any religion in the public domain. Can't do the job that everyone has to do, find one you can. Can't fly with out washing your feet? Don't fly. The Amish seem to do OK with it. Granted genetically they are screwed but OH well. Someone has yet to explain to me the need to have religion in the public domain? WTF is the problem with keeping it private? Why do you feel compelled to wear it on your arm? It always bugs me when I see people wearing a religious symbol purposely in view. I have worn a star of David since I was about 10 years old. I always keep it tucked in my shirt. I have always felt self conscious about keeping it private. I have never had the need to advertise my beliefs.
