It seems that you didn't grasp yet what kind of situation is emerging.

Last issue of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Magazine boast in the cover THE END OF CHEAP OIL.

I highly recommend everyone to read this

National Geographic???

Isn't that that magazine who only publishes biased reports towards nature and it's conservation? I've never seen any industrial related topics highlighting the good that comes from harvesting the earths resources. (Try Oil Field Weekly instead)

I bet those photographers and writers forget that the paper the magazine is printed on comes from the depleted rainforests, the electricity to run the pulp mills comes from burning copious quantities of coal, the airplanes they use to fly to the remote areas come from open pit aluminium mines and the fuel comes from mother earths soul in the form of black tar like oil. Don't forget that every step in the process of building these conveniences for them, including their cameras, requires more and more of the earths resources to create and distribute the products. The 4X4 vehicles they use to transport themselves across the african plains leave tracks that erode and blow away the precious topsoil so desperately needed to farm these areas and support plants and wildlife....so sad. 🙁

Well, I'm off to work my second job so that I can afford to drive to the corner store on saturday to buy my 649 ticket. maybe I'll get lucky.

Food for thought...

With all the talk of supply/demand affecting oil prices, why don't other refined products reflect this (ie avgas, jetA)?

If gas keeps going up, I'll just bring my business to the FBO here at YYB. I'll just pull my catalytic converter out and straight pipe it.

that does it, I'm painting my skin dark, wearing a rag on my head, going to come back into this country looking for handouts as an immigrant. This way I can own my own gas station, fill up the tanks at todays prices, padlock the gates and hoard the reserves of fuel for as long as I can. I don't know how many litres a typical gas station has in stock, but I can imagine it's more than enought to supply me for quite some time. I might even buy another SUV as a weekend driver.
The snot nosed kid normally hired to man the cash register will now be manning a sub machine gun from the rooftop keeping out the undesireables.

Hi Helidude

The real question is why haven't my Ballard shares skyrocketed if there is such a shortage of oil????

I answered:

Because fuel cells and hybrids are simply NOT the solution and also because a lot of people is just ignoring the problem.

Now look at what I found in yesterday’s “Globe and Mailâ€￾.

Ballard's celebrated drive hits a bumpy road

The company is about to be sold to Ford & Chrysler!

I also gave you this free "tip"

BTW want a tip ? Sell the Ballard shares while they still worth something because they can't go anywhere but down 😛

Did you follow my tip or are you going to take a hit ? 😳

Baldy...long time no hear.

I was beginning to wonder if Bush had put a dollar figure on your head and had you offed for speaking against his ways.

I got burned the other day, I filled up my gas guzzling beast at .80/L and the next day it dropped to .78/L. Talk about a pissoff, I wasted a dollar. Either way though, gas has dropped enough for me to go on a road trip, I'm packing up the trailer, loading up the roof rack and making the beast as heavy as the highway cops will allow. I'm suspecting I should be able to guzzle away a tank every 3 hrs if I'm lucky. If I can't quite increase my fuel consumption to that level, I'll click off the overdrive and burn a bit more. Maybe even hang a set of those unsightly trailer towing mirrors way out in the clean air and create a little more parasite drag.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it drops to mid .70's (or party time!!! the high .60's), because this little road trip will turn into a cross country journey.

Nope. Just anything to say, I guess. <_<

well that's good to hear. 😀

It's better to have you around, bored or otherwise. Just don't be afraid to speak your mind. With-out two sides (or views) to a story, no matter how right wing, left wing or dead-on-correct they are, what do we have.....?..... Extreme boredom....boredom beyond belief. Heck, with-out nightly entertainment from CA Aviation, I might have to go out of the house and watch the neighbours throw beer bottles at themselves again.

After reading through the link posted above on the shortage of oil the we may experience in the near future............
