Hey Chris
I heard about it today in a casino===spend lots of time there. Having a ball. How much are we getting--maybe I'll hit a Royal Flush with mine---hehehe. When are you and wife headed out my way?? I have every other week-end off. Will be going to Orlando in May to help mom for a week. Seems she now has alzheimers now. Lost her home to eminent domain and now in an apartment. Write me soon.

UH OH!!! Don't be blowing that HUGE pension on gambling sweetie!

We have a bunch of traveling to do but need to find the time. Her best friend was diagnosed with cancer and she has been flying to BDL on a regular babsis to be with her for Dr appts and the surgery. We are going to be going to be with her for chemo and radiation treatments too since she is alone. I keep hoping for a nonstop to PHX or LAS from here to make it easier to get to see you. Southwest is adding another nonstop to LAS from here and has a PHX nonstop already. If THEY can make money on it, why can't US? That's a rhetorical question and I'm not looking for a lot of negative comments from people. :)

Sorry to hear about your Mom, I'll put her in my prayers.

It's Monday the 24th March and still waiting for the check to come in the mail. The usual USair SNAFU. Lots of talk about taking care of the troops, but no action. I figure it will arrive sometime in May....

I was very surprised to get my check last week in the mail. I had no idea it was coming so it was great to open it and have some extra cash!

Just got an email yesterday on this very issue after two weeks of arguing with Tempe.
Per Ron Harbinson you should be getting it by NEXT pay period. That would be by 04/11/08

Interestsing. I heard that unless you got paid something from US in 2007, you dont get the profit sharing this year. Hope YOU are right instead.

That's been my understanding also - no W2 income for 2007 = no profit sharing. I know it's that way for pilots. Of course, that means that some retiree's would get profit sharing - those that retired during 2007.

Seems a tad misleading to say retirees get profit sharing when it only applies to the most recent of that group.

As I understand it, each union that negotiated profit sharing gets to determine how it is split among their members so a particular union could decide to give a share to all retired members - though deciding how much to give to someone that retired before 2007 would be an issue since the distribution is based on W2 income for the year and pre-2007 retiree's wouldn't have any. Then there's the non-union - I guess the company could divide that part of the profit sharing up however they wanted, but the same issue arises.

But you're right - if the company said that retirees would get profit sharing without clarifying that they meant those who retired in 2007, it was misleading.

You must have gotten a w2 for 2007 in order to get profit sharing. A retiree would only get it for the year after they retire in Customer service. So if you retired in 2007 you would only get 1 check.

I had a sick time payout in 2006 which yielded a W2 in 2007. I retired in 2005. I THOUGHT it would have been odd to still get profit sharing but who says no to money? :D

Since retirees didnt contribute to the profit, it doesn't bother me at all and really wasnt looking for it. Them taking away our SA3 status however, THAT is still a thorn in my side. I'm waiting to hear how the grievance went on that issue.
