Its a shame you do not belive in the principles this country was supposedly founded on. Stuff like all men being equall, freedom and justice for all. Stuff lime that.

I do believe in the principles of this country and the rights and liberties granted unto man ie; endowed by our Creator who inexplicably says it is sin for a man to lie with another man or a woman with another woman. I'll take His wisdom over yours any day.

Its part of the 100 year agenda.

I'm glad you said what you said as it points out rather nicely how the Progressive Agenda lacks the one of the main points they preach and that's tolerance. I get your point, however I don't totally agree with it. That's a key point and that's what tolerance is, to disagree without being disagreeably.

The Homo Promo crowd insists their position on any issue is the only one right thinking people would embrace and anyone who dare question is a homophobic, racist or whatever insult they can dig up. Conservative Christians take the brunt of the outrage merely because they're different. Mr Kettle meet Mr Pot.

However I would argue that some Conservatives are their own worst enemy as they come off hard hearted. I believe in a God that NEVER fails and that God has taught me that Homosexuality is wrong and a sin. That same God teaches me that Sin is Sin, none worse than another. He also taught me to hate the sin and love the sinner. Sin in the eyes of God tells us that all have sinned and fall short. God commands us to love your neighbor. He doesn't say "Love your neighbor as yourself unless he's a Rump Rangler".

Should a state sanction marriage? My answer is NO! Any Marriage should be within the confines of the Church, Church being defined as a religious institution. The state should maintain Probate courts and contract regarding distribution of assets, Power of attorney, Life decisions should be between two people in a legal binding contract that can not be challenged on the basis of blood relative vs domestic partner.

Let me know when you rewrite the COTUS. The COTUS does not mention any of that and the COTUS is what US laws are based on.

Not sure how the progressivs lack tolerance as we are the ones seeking to expand equal rights to a disenfranchised group and your group is the one seeking to maintain the status quo as they always have (women, blacks). Perhaps if you would stop seeing your self as superior and accept otbers ideas this would not happen.

Then again, blind religious dogma precludes the idea that any other belief could be right.

Think I agree with that. If you belive in the limitation of equal rights you are wrong. In this case if you are seeking to continue to deprive gays of equal rights you are homophobic.

The problem is love is state sanctioned and it will continue to be so. I also doubt that states are willing to give up that protection. Right now only two peoee can get "Married". With out state protection any churn h anyone makes up can Mary any things they want. To Mary. Animals, plants objects... You name it. All fair game.

Marriage is state sanctioned so all people have the right to get married. Not just the ones your god says can get married. We go by the COTUS. It makes no such distinction. Do you want to rewrite it also?

You realize your progressive left wants nothing less than the elimination of your prized COTUS?

Gay are votes, nothing more nothing less.Once the progressives have the votes and power, the COTUS and gays are in serious trouble.

Its not hard to see how DNC uses ethnic groups for votes. They used the blacks and latino's to get Obama in and then turned their backs on them, hence scathing rebukes from black and latino leaders coming in to this next election....and the gay crowd is no exception. An for some unexplained reason , these groups are like deer in headlights....to vote and get screwed agan and again.

See your quote where you call me homophobic if I don't adhere to your world view of morality, sexuality.

Then again, blind religious dogma precludes the idea that any other belief could be right.

See with the name calling. I don't have to be Homophobic to believe it's morally Wrong. Please note the definition below

ho·mo·pho·bi·a

–noun
unreasoning fear of or antipathy toward homosexuals and homosexuality.[/i]

The key word is the first word. Unreasoning. Religions of every stripe take at best a dim view of homosexual behavior. What I find rather amusing is the vitriol directed at Christians in this country who oppose gay marriage. Racist, homophobic, bigot, Nazi have all been used. Now "Imagine If" we were a nation dominated by Islam? Our gay friends would be stacked up like so much cord wood and summarily hauled away. MARRIED? Yeah "Married" to the big dirt nap is what they'd be. 😛 2nd part of the definition "Fear". What's to fear? I have several friends in the lifestyle and I'm certainly not afraid of them. The only antipathy I have I save from the Homo Promo crowd and the constant drum beat that if I don't agree with them then the named calling starts. However much good will & tolerance I have they manage to piss me off to the point where it I were cornered on the way to the voting both by the homo promo crowd and we had a referendum on gay marriage I'd vote against it. That's how fragile my support of gay marriage is. I'm a Christian and I make no bones about it. I also don't flaunt it every 8 seconds. I believe it's morally wrong. However we live in a country where individual freedom and liberty without a state sanctioned religion is the rule of the day. I am just so far beyond tired of this. Having individual states decide I think is the way to go.

I'm not touching this again because you can't seem to get it through your head that "Marriage" is a spiritual Covenant first and foremost. Virtually every religion views marriage as a spiritual covenant and most don't know that it's only been the last 150 years that the government was even involved in marriage.

Even Malcolm X had it figured out with atheists when he said, "A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything."

Homophobic means yer skeered of gay people......if I get my haircut by a gay dude, do I get a

pass on the homophobic thing?

Only my hair dresser knows for sure......
😛

You ade against gay marriage because you are not homophobic? That makes percent sense.

The fact that so many people are homophobic makes it reasoned? Sure. That makes sense.

And if we lived on mars we would me martians.

And thats why we dont hereabouts your precious feelings. You dont support equal rights and never will.

The only time marriage has anything to do with religion is when it is in a religious institution. I got married by a JP. No religion. Its a contract between my wife and I. Nothing more.

When hour get divorced you fo to a lawyer not a priest. There is a reason for that.

We live in a nation governed by the COTUS and laws that must abide by said document. No one cares about your silly fairy tales.

BTW. Since you continue to insult days and athiest Ill do the same.

I would vote for equal rights for the KKK and skin heads if it came to that. I do find it ironic that the aforementioned people have equal rights in the land of the free but gays dont. Go figure.

It occurs to me that if you are willing to vote against equal rights because some peoee passed you off speaks volumes about your support for the COTUS. You are just full of hot air. You either support equal rights or you dont. Ill have to call RP and let him know he has some false followers. Lol.

NEWARK, N.J. — Immigration officials have called off the deportation of a Venezuelan man who legally married his same-sex partner in the United States, a move advocates hope will push the Obama administration to halt similar deportations and help repeal a federal law that recognizes only marriages between a man and a woman.

Deportation of citizen's same-sex partner canceled

An interesting twist.

Ask me if I give a rat's ass.

I'm about done with being called homophobic too.

Fact is you know nothing about me. My very first job at age 14 was working washing dishes at a place called Mountainside Inn, and the owner Ronnie was the worlds gayest gay man I've ever met. The Head Chef, Head waiter and about half the staff was gay as pink ink. Heck we even had an interracial lesbian couple that worked there. First black person and lesbian I ever talked to. Kinda got a 2 for 1 sale there. These people were and are my friends. Many are long dead as they were in their 50's then. During the summer I used to clean Ron's pool. That was the coolest as Ron had this smoking 'vette that he would pick me up in to go clean up the pool and do yard work. My Dad had just died which is why I went to work. It was a small town and everyone knew what happened and Ron, Walt, George, Dotty and Eddie kept an eye on me so I didn't get in to much trouble. Sharon, Dotty's partner hated me something awful though I don't know why.

I really resent your comments. I was there when guys I went to school with wanted to go out and beat up gays. I saw the end result when folks I knew were on the receiving end of the bashing. I don't like a persons sexuality thrown in my face and that includes women who come on in a very slutty way. It's offensive to me.

You're attitude towards Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann is far more bigoted then my views regarding gay marriage.
