Question for UA Employees

I am not going to rehash this... You are sorely mistaken if you think a 3% increase in pay for all work groups including mgmt. is only 200million... Sorry it just doesnt add up... Yes I did say if each work group got 3% based on the posters figures would equal the 9-10 percent that AMR could give without posting a loss... It's obvious that you folks keep on and on and don't want to see the light.. Keep harping on it though, the truth will come out in a few months and then we will see who is right and who is wrong,, and I am VERY confident I will be able to come back here and quote all of you on your absurd posts.. KEEP ON.. KEEP ON...

Show us the math. Crunch the numbers. I dare you to!!!

I believe "StrAAight", specifically on the DL board corrected some of the statements DTTB made regarding the AA FA contract, statements DTTB was presenting as facts because a friend(s) said so. Was "StrAAight" a little harsh? Sure, but DTTB brings this on herself. See the comments in the post above. It has been expalined many times that if AA's total labor costs were ~$6.6 billion a 3% increase would mean $200 million on top of that. Yet DTTB still argues and argues that it is not so! How do you expect AA/AMR people to react???
Who cares about the Percentage...the word Increase following it is almost laughable. Let's say it together Concession...Concession, if we are talking about AA that is. But working for a "Lessor" carrier I sure hope that is wrong. I mean since AA does set the Standards. The one thing AA management knows is that the APFA will give up what they want it to, even without a trip to BK. Before the personal attacks stAArt let's wait till it all plays out...if I'm wrong bash me all you want. Hell I'll even come on here and admit I was wrong.

So as you see it, the intelligent thing to have done was to go in to bankruptcy and fight the company, and creditors in front of a judge. As things stand right now, APFA is in a far better position. Every other carrier has to come up with higher percentage pay increases to get to or pass the pay rates at AA.

Everyone seems so concerned about the CASM at AA. Understand that as our goes up so does everyone eles. In the end I would trust that the management of AA to be better prepared and in the drivers seat over every other carrier out there. They have proven time and again they are able to adapt and pull rabbits out of the hat just when needed. You dont grow to become the worlds largest airline both domestically and internationally, build a hub in UAL's home town, create the worlds largest frequent flyer program, by not knowing what you are doing.

I sure hope you are right. Sooner or later those Rabbits run out! I wouldn't spend that 3% yet.

Ohh yeah our contract has about 19 other sections besides pay...wonder how those add up?

3% is what beauty pulled out as a number. Flight attendants are not in negotiations with AA at this time. There is more to a CBA than pay, I have over 700 pages in front of me with 38 domestic articles, another 38 international, plus appendices and letters of agreement. Not sure there is an easy way to stack anything other than pay, duty rigs and min day guarantee's.

Many other things are relative to that carrier or organization. People have a hard time understanding something with out having worked that way. Example reserve. We have a rotation, so we have some people who are considered senior yet still on reserve. Yet they do it 3 times a year. We all grew up on it an it is just how it is. I myself and many others cannot comprehend straight reserve. The horror of month after month of being assigned at random, never knowing where you are going to end up. Bidding, assignment of positions etc.

Like a civilized adult, not a third grader.... Making a comment about a post doesn't mean you should resort to name calling, at least in my world.. A debate yes, but not to resort to bashing.... I won't argue anymore - It is definitely 200million, you stick on that figure though.... because you will be lucky to get it.... Act like an adult FAMikey, it will serve you well in the future, you will never be respected acting like your co-workers... Lord I'm 3% spent for the day...

Like a civilized adult, not a third grader....

When you say 'like a civilized adult, not a third grader' do you mean something like this: Today's post by DTTB on the AA board

" I work the galley all the time to TPE... something you will never do... go figure...EOLESEN, I hope you get the cornfield as well for bashing and name calling... It looks like the immaturity over here never stops... "

Is anybody still surprised DTTB gets the comments she gets from the AA/AMR people?

And BTW - there was no bashing or name calling by eolessen.

Let's see if I can make myself clear.... WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THREADS ON THE AMR BOARD. WE DON'T FRANKLY CARE ABOUT AMR EITHER. IF WE DID, WE'D GO READ THE AMR BOARD AND JOIN THE TEMPER TANTRUM/HISSY FIT. Clear enough?

Please go away until you having something to talk about that has something to do with UAL. 🙄

But she is OUR BEAUTY....and that is what makes her so special. I think you are missing that. We smash each other, we just don't allow it from outsiders.

!

Well at least one of you cares about threads on the AA board. She incessantly posts her predictions on the future of AA and it's employees to the point of irritation. If she would have stayed off the AA board, this thread would never have appeared here.

This is just an observation from a former longtime lurker on this board. This beauty person really does seem obsessed with talking down American Airlines and its employees. Strange. There has to be more to his story.

There is no requirement when signing up that you will only post on one board or the airline board for the company you work for only. (That would leave a lot of posters out of the equation if those were the rules.) As long as everyone follows the guidelines for posting, they can post wherever they would like. It also doesnt mean that just because someone "came on to your board to post" that you should do the same "on theirs". I can see several more posters working their way up to some time off if they continue their current trend in postings.

I started this thread for one reason. And that was to find out why DTTB gets off on putting down AMR (we do a good job of that on our own) It is irritating that she seems to want nothing but ill will towards AMR and its employees. I understand that thbis is a public forum, and I love to read the posts of others and their views of where each and every airline is headed. But hers is opinions filled with hate and a loathing for AMR and its employees.

I know AA has its fair share of nasty posters but this DTTB takes the cake. Take some time and read all of her posts.

And moderator....please I know you are reading this forum...take some time and read her posts on the AA board. And you will see why the People at the AMR side and not happy with her and do not like her much

LOL... You've got to become more thick skinned around here and not take things so personal. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, even if they're interpretted as negative. You know the old saying... If you can't take the heat...
