The IAM has always used Dovetail.

Date under the CBA into the classification.

DOH is used for travel.

Date under the CBA is for vacation bidding.

DOC is used for shifts and bid areas.

We had P/T utility for a couple of years, but they only had seniority amongst their group.

There is a seniority committee made up of members from the east and west working on it.

In Star Trek, cloaking devices were first introduced and used by the Romulans in the Original Series episode "Balance of Terror", though the device was only referred to as "a practical invisibility screen." The invisibility came as a surprise to the crew of the USS Enterprise, who considered it only a theoretical possibility.

The above dates are the reasons why everything should go by straight DOH. There are too many conflicts when there are more than one date to go by. For that you use this date, for this you use that date, p/t is this, f/t is that. We are supposed to be one employee group. All of the different seniority dates makes us a divided group. That is one of the reasons why we can't get anything negotiated.

Who is this negotiating committee comprised of anyway? Who put them on it? How do you get on it. Is it made up of actual working ramp agents? Or does it consist of the iam jet setting convention crew? Inquiring minds want to know!

Folks,

Technically this violates the one thread per workgroup rule, plus it was not started by a moderator. We have been lenient up until now, but since most of you choose not to follow the rules, we're going to tighten it up. This thread is being closed and discussion should be continued in the IAM Fleet topic elsewhere on these boards.

Unfortunately, it looks like we may have to take action, so if you start a labor related thread and catch a 7 day suspension don't say we didn't warn you.

For those who need clarification, the rules are posted as a sticky at the top of US Airways.

Thank you.
