I see postings on the company site for 2 techs, 3 tech supports in DTW. What?????????? After the T/A, DTW director of mx "Jack" told amfa local 5 they had no recalls planned and in fact - they were over their set head count of people by 10+ .

Planes are starting to fall apart now, I think. JMHO. :unsure:
Besides that, are there really some decent mechanic workers left?

Case in point:

Walk onto the aircraft and I found the captain bitching abotu something in the log book. :rant:

Naturally, I'd like to know.... (being that I'm a nosy girl) so I ask. :closedeyes:

He says "There's a write up in here, and there's NOTHING wrong with it at all!" :rant: and he found another one and when the FO showed up they were looking through it together. :cop: :cop:

Then he called it "Outsourced Maintenance" and started to spew some not-so-nice words. 😳

Then I had to ask "where did they do this at?" :huh:

He says "DTW" :blink:

I corrected him on that... I told him the correct term is "Scabs", esp. those in DTW 😛h34r:

(I guess he had been using "Outsourced Maintenace" so he doesn't get on the level or get fired for using the word "Scab" on company property..... makes the poor babies feel violated)

They should get used to it already.... a year and a half its been :blink:

With the help of the pilots (crossing picket line) this is the way the company wants the new NW to operate.

With only 500 on recall, its the way it will continue to operate. Can anyone say just deserts?

man that sure took an awful long time for the pilots to figure out that NW dont have maintaince anymore not since AMFA went on strike. gee wonder why it took them so long to realize that and Jeny yes the scabs are causing the planes to fall apart wonder how the pax feel about their plane not being able to fly 😀 😛
