It has not been used by Obama yet so I fail to see where you draw that conclusion from. On the other hand, with W "you are either with us or against us". Those are words from W's mouth. Can you present Obama's comments where he played a race card?

I liken the name thing as a desperate attempt to attack when he has nothing of substance to use. Attacking someones name is weak at best, and shows lack of character.

It is kind of like the not so smart kid on the school bus making fun of your name, while scanning the crowd, looking for acceptance.

When did any party become the party of ignorance, blind faith to dogma, catchy phrases with no content ... etc. That may be what sells on TV in some parts but that sure is not what this nation needs now or ever. Palin is a big reason McCain is headed back to Senate and not the White House. Lots of people such as my self took a look at Palin and said no freaking way do we want a moron in the White House. Obama was not my first choice but McCain's actions with Palin, Fallwell et al, torture, and Bush made my option very clear.

The American public sent a message....LOUD and CLEAR, that todays Repug party, "is OUT of TOUCH" w/50.1% of the country.(Oddly the phrase.."out of touch"..USE to BE a Repug talking point.)

Take a guy like Tim Pawlenty.

He's Pro-life, very religious,.....but the HUGE difference is that he knows NOT to SUFFOCATE EVERYONE w/his beliefs. If he's "asked", he's doesn't hold back, But he picks his spots, which I would suggest to you, that a Lot of Repugs, or Indy's, who STAYED home, or Voted for BO,........would have easily voted for a McCain/Pawlenty ticket.

Going forward, YOU can bet the Farm, that the WHACK JOB....Evangelical christians, will do EVERYTHING possible to push Say-ra ahead of a Pawlenty in 2012/2016/2020/2024.

NHBB..I agree 100%........if the GOP wants or has any inclination of coming to grips with who they are and what they represent....they have to return to this base or its quite simply over for their party.As you say...Christianity is the basis of the conservative GOP party and must again come to grips with the focus of America's values.Obviously,the Dem's are willing to cater to lesser moralistic values for votes and campaign contributions to gain power.They are the untimely demise of the USA.
