You can download the proper forms from the hub in PDF format. Managers supposedly have to verify certain things and send in their own paperwork on you.

If you work under a CBA, contact your Union before notifying the company to make sure you follow the procedures and don't overlook anything.

Heard that if you were PSA you could not retire until age 62?? It was something our union voted in and we are the only groups of f/a's that have to wait? Turning 55 in jan. (other than cry) should I be notifying anyone? Don't plan on retiring just yet. Where can I go to check out the validity of this?

I recently retired. The timeframe is 30 days notice with a 14 day notice to rescind.

See if they are still offering the "65 point" plan. Age+yrs svc=65 and you get full retirement benefits(which do not amount to much!!!)

The bridges you don't want to burn are not with US Airways. These are the bridges to other possible employment if you so choose to continue working, or you decide to get a job down the road. They can legally say you left the company without giving notice. Prospective employers might take exception to such behavior.

Besides, there are all kinds of "gotchas" in most retirement plans. If you don't dot every I and cross every T you might end up with less than you are entitled to or possibly nothing.

I dont want to pay for the term pass,,service charges..

At the 25th you "get'whatever that means now adays..

I have the point plan, it' the term pass thingy..
Called PBGC..I get nothing...160 versus 200 when turning 62----will not- will not- will not- stay in this !!!
