hmmmm , I woke up this morning and thought hey i feel like being walked on stepped on having my bank account drained, family whos need them? i don't get to see them anymore anyway - So maybe I should go back to work at MDA after all its not a real airline anyway, just a way to pay employees less. our union - forget about it - 2,000 dollars - holla back girl way to negotiate !!! you get em bull doggy pres. you!!!! I think when i sell my house i will start the bidding at exactly what i want that way i can get less than what i want!!! After all I will be out of a job once again... Ahhh i just love being stepped on..... It amazes me... tear...... The thing that sickens me though is who is in control ..... we are.... the union is worthless at MDA at least at mainline they had some fight... SO lets get on board and do something about this little shenannegan thats going on.... STAND UP BE HEARD DEMAND WHAT WE WANT ORRRRRR AND THEN SIT DOWN AND LET THEM WATCH US HOW TO REALLY RUN A COMPANY... WE NEED TO START DEMANDING OR LET EM FAULTER...

I think if you would read what her point is, instead of burying your head in Caps Locks and other items, you would find a very valid point attempting to be made.

UAL/ USAir-AW will indeed emerge with a cost structure advantage over AA.

The ego's at AA may not want to admit it, but in the end, it will become clear.

Perhaps, but my old eyes do not allow me to read all caps without great effort. I have found it to usually not be worth the effort when I did try.

I would be glad to read any of her postings that anyone would care to de-capital and organize into paragraphs. I can deal with grammar and spelling errors OK.

First, layoff the caps. It looks childish. Second it seems to me that you are a bit insecure about the company you work for/are a fan of. Otherwise you would not be posting on the AA board.

Here's a bit of advice about airline mergers coming from someone who has gone through two. It's a big mess. Especially for two airlines with the financial troubles AWA and US Air have. So if you think that this going to be some marriage made in heavan and the new US Air is going to be making money hand over fist you are sadly mistaken.

Mergers of any carrier are not near as much of a threat to AA as is the growth of the established LCCs.

One cannot help but notice that AA and CO's profits came partly because those two airlines have virtually no LCC competition at their DFW and EWR hubs, respectively. In fact, DL, UA, and US all face more LCC competition in their key markets than does AA or CO.

The LCCs have added their growth up to this point in the markets of carriers they expected would have folded a long time ago..... but haven't. As those LCCs find it harder to place their hundreds of jets they have on order, they will be more emboldened to go after the stronger carriers' hubs like CO and AA. Since both AA and CO fly fairly small gauge aircraft compared to their competitors, any LCC incursions in markets that are already served by multiple frequencies will be highly dilutionary.

B6 isn't stopping with Florida once they start their EWR service. N. Texans will get low fares on long distance routes one way or the other. Both moves which are certain to come will put a chink in AA and CO's collective armor.
