Smoke and mirrors. Rummy is the sacrificial lamb. Bush is reverting to his compasionate conservative bull shite. Nancy Pelosi will be ascended to speaker of the house. Big f@&%*#g deal! She already stated that the Dems will not try to impeach Bush. Do you think they will overturn the Patriot Act or the Military Commisions Act? Everything will be status quo. Sure there will be some bickering over some insigificant issues. All staged, all bull. We live under Corporate Governance.
As Benito Mussolini put it: "Fascism should rightly be called Corporatism as it is a merge of state and corporate power."

"ED",

I'd have a hard time arguing with you over your theory.

But I gotta admit, I LOVE being in control of ALL the chairmanships, in the House and Senate

NH/BB's:
Are you so certain that everything the DEMS will do will be good for the average American?
Will you criticize the DEMS when they F*#@ up as you do the GOP?

I understand your hatred for Bush and the republicans, but I can't see how you are so certain that they will always do good for us. I just don't see it!

Charles Rangel was on the news show circuit today and said he doesn't like any of the Bush tax cuts!

He even wants to reinstate the marriage penalty tax.

Most of us need to have both spouses working to live and it seems he doesn't care.

This one issue doesn't seem to good for the average American family.

Don't forget the veto!

If you didn't trust Carl Rove before last night, you're a fool to think that Rummy's resignation is anything but a carefully timed event.

[conspiracy theory]

One of Bush's pet pieces of legislation is the guest worker program and amnesty for illegals. He was shot down by conservatives on both sides of the aisle, so it went nowhere.

Had Rumsfield resigned before the polls opened, there are probably a lot of swing votes which would have gone the other way. By waiting, Bush's opposition to his more liberal legislation was taken out by the voters.

So if Bush goes along with some of Pilosi's agenda, and also gets his more liberal agenda items accomplished, it's possible that the Dems won't go after reinstating the death and marriage taxes.

[/conspiracy theory]
