Sarah Palins #1 Best Seller

She gave him an initial bump that was short lived and when her incompetency came to light the numbers sank. A bump by definition is a small rise. You go up a little, plateau... then drop back down. A bump is not necessarily a permanent thing.

As for SNL, they an spoof who ever they want. I never watched the spoofs of Palin and have no intention to watch the spoofs of Obama. It's a free country and they can do as they see fit to make a buck. They sell entertainment. The conservatives were pissed at the shots taken at Palin, and the Libs are pissed at the shots taken at Obama. Makes perfect sense to me.

Again more of your lame revisionist history

Really? Then you must have been living under a rock. Remember "I can see Russia from my house"? The liberals and the media attributted to Palin, but was never said by her in any interview...ever.

Fine Palin had nothing to do with McCains loss. What ever.

McCain never had a out of wedlock black baby either. It was a SNL spoof. H Clinton never said any of the things in the spoof, W Bush never said any of the things in the spoofs, W Clinton never said any of the things in the spoofs. The are on a comedy show for a reason. The fact that people hear what they want to is no surprise.

Glad to see you have admitted an err in your ways.
Hanging our with bears will only steer you a stray.

they (Democrats) ran an outstanding and extremely well organized campaign to the point it has to be admired..if anything..the organization.

and effectively tied Bush to him.. Palin helped his numbers but did not cause him to lose...he did..
(well they did...his pals the Democrats!)

the problem with McCain? he is a great man but the perception was.. he was going against an ivy league educated individual who is "smart".."book smart" "intelligent" whatever you want to call it.

(and people believed he wasn't as smart as him....)

Romney was really their only chance, he is a business man, Harvard grad. former Governor and it can be said smart..(I guess)

when they gave it to McCain it was over because the Democrats were going to have a field day..

how many photos did they show on TV with Bush and McCain hugging?

I stopped counting at about the 40th time..

its not because he didn't know what he was doing but the perception was someone else could do it better based solely on an idea, one is smarter than the other..

(even if that wasn't true, that is what people believed)

The media just played with Palin attempting to discredit her...even though she was a Governor with an 80 percent approval rating.

but she was not the reason he lost.

(she is just being used as the excuse)

McCain lost because he is a moderate republican and that is the way Powel and others see the parties future. The conservative base regretfully voted Obama...That is why McCain lost because McCain couldn't and never will carry the conservative faction.

The slander against Palin wasn't due to incompetency or whatever else the left sold you and you gleefully bought into.....they slandered her because they are afraid of her.Notice she has distanced herself from both parties? Both parties are moderate and both parties fear her.

Anytime the left goes out of their way to attempt to destroy someone its because they fear them.

I think the GOP stuck with Mac knowing he had a slim or less chance of winning and figured let the DNC take it for hopefully the next four and have loads of cannon fodder for 2012....looks like they made a wise decision so far.....

I think you are correct in that McCain is a moderate and that is why the fringe of the republican party did not like him. I think Obama won because of the utter mess that W Bush made of things and the fact that as Dignity I believe stated earlier, McCain was linked to Bush.

Palin is way too far right for the majority of this country. She was not slandered any more than any other politician was. In fact, I think she got of far easier than McCain did at the hands of his own party in 2000. Far better than Kerry did at the hands of the Swift Boat BS. Palin like Clinton made their own bed and got to sleep in it. She was unprepared to be on the public front. She had virtually no experience. She has little if any understanding of international history. She claimed that during her 21 months in office, Russians had been making incursions into US air space over Alaska. Yet according to the US Air Force, Russian had not had a single incursion in those 21 months. Her interviews were embarrassing to watch. She was utterly unprepared for public speaking. I can understand the pauses and "um"' and "ah" in a impromptu interview but not the ramblings displayed by Palin.

Then there is her hypocrisy. She is stead fast against sex ed of any kind yet her and her daughter had premarital sex.

I think she was a horrible choice for McCain. This country is primarily moderate. Whether they be conservative or liberal moderates is irrelevant. Palin scared off a lot of people. I know she scared me off. I liked McCain. I think he let someone (not sure who) move his campaign in a direction he did not want to go. I do not agree with him on all the issues but I would not have minded seeing him in office. No way in hell did I want to see Palin in the WH unless she was visiting someone there. I am pretty sure I am not alone in that feeling.

As for her future career. I suspect she will be writing books and attending speaking engagements but I doubt we will see her in any thing political. She will be about as relevant as Sharpton, Limbaugh and the rest of the talking heads.

I don't get this 'scared' idea. Sure any political opponent is 'feared' because they all play the game to win. Because Bush slandered and vilified McCain in 2000 does that mean that Bush was "afraid" of McCain? In my opinion only in so far as McCain was a political opponent and had to be brought down.

Were I a democratic strategist I am pretty sure I would be chopping at the bit to have Palin as an opponent. She is an easy target. Religious fanaticism, IIRC, 6 different schools (none of them with a "Ivy league" status) to get a BA/BS, family values yet both her and her kid were knocked up before they got married, all the videos of her interviews and the list goes on. Out of all the opponents out there, I am pretty sure the Dems would love to see her the most. For them, Palin is the gift that keeps giving.

Liberals are scared to death and threatened by Palin. If not they would have dismissed her as irrelevant. But the fact is the more they continue to vilify and ridicule on a regular basis, only shows their cowardly fear. Why is that so hard to understand?

I get it. Republicans are so stupid and mentally deranged religious nut cases that they need to find someone as deranged as they are to feel good about them selves .. OH for get it. I cannot even fake being that stupid.

By your 'logic' Bush was threatened and terrified of McCain in 2000 which is why he resorted to attacking McCains adopted child and using her race to win the S.C. primary.

Palin was a target of opportunity. Your ignorance of politics is entertaining at best. McCain and Kerry were both victims of vicious lies propagated by their opponents. As far as Palin is concerned, go ahead and think people are scared of her. The Dems like her because she is a easy target. it allows them to take shots at her as opposed to having to deal with substantive issues.

Personally hope she is kept out of RNC politics. I am scared of her for a different reason. I am scared of her because I think she and others like her (people like you for example) will only drive more people away from the only other arty that can currently stand up to the DNC as loyal opposition. Since we only have a 2 party system right now, I want to see a balance between the RNC and DNC. Palin and others like her only help to strengthen the DNC and that as we are seeing now is not a good thing.

No way in hell did I want to see Palin in the WH unless she was visiting someone there. I am pretty sure I am not alone in that feeling.

I have to admit Garfield; my neighbor told me if I voted for McCain we would end up with the stupidest vice president in American history.

He was right.

I get it.
Since when?
I cannot even fake being that stupid.
Err, by your hisotry you dont need to fake. You already have perfected it.
Palin was a target of opportunity.
Really? So now you admit it? Flip flop much?
Your ignorance of politics is entertaining at best.
Easy there tingles, you arent one to talk.
McCain and Kerry were both victims of vicious lies propagated by their opponents.
Do you see the attacks continue? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo
As far as Palin is concerned, go ahead and think people are scared of her. The Dems like her because she is a easy target. it allows them to take shots at her as opposed to having to deal with substantive issues.
And for that, she now has a best seller on her hands.
Personally hope she is kept out of RNC politics.
Thats because you are scared.

Err...............did I hear someone mention Joe "Paying More Taxes is Patriotic" Biden around here ?

I thought he was talking about Dan "where is the final e in pototoe" Quayle.

Your ignorance of politics is entertaining at best. (Posted by Garfield)

That is the most relevant post of the last two days.

Are you really that ignorant to think that she is feared? (this was directed at f4all)

The biggest fear is that she will go away. She is far better than a third party quasi-Republican. She will siphon off votes from the Dignity's and Freedom4all's of this country and give the intelligent candidate no chance to beat the incumbent President.

Keep up these posts...
