Scam in LAS (FSC)

Article 35 of Fleet CBA: "Temporary employees may be hired by the Company to accomplish and perform work of any temporary nature not to exceed forty-five (45) calendar days unless extended by mutual agreement between the Company and the Local Union, twice within a calendar year...Temporary employees will not accrue occupational or pay seniority...
You all miss my point. My fault though...didn't mention management is filling the retirement holes in house at the station. PT/FT clerks @ LAS are being asked to fill the vacancies, not hire from the outside. So all the 1st rounders and maybe the 2nd rounders will NOT have LAS as an option. Seems kind of unfair to those stations who are close to LAS (e.g. TUS, PHX, etc..) especially HNL, as LAS is known as the 9th? island.

If those stations carry any of the Juniority or if they have vacancies (which they do because of the temporary upgrades) then those positions would be available to everyone that has the seniority to choose to go to those stations. Temporary bodies cannot plug holes...There is no way to fill those positions now and the alternative is to have temps of force people to work the extra hours.
