I AM GLAD TO SEE THAT ALOT OF US ARE LOOKING AT THE ENTIRE TA AND NOT JUST THE MONEY LIKE FREEDOM IS DOING. THE COLOR OF MONEY IS NOT ALWAYS AS GREEN AS IT LOOKS. DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK WHY, WHEN AND IF. TO ANYTHING YOU DON,T UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE TA. THE IAM DOES NOT WANT YOU TO BE TOTAL I NFORMED AS TO ALL THE PARTS OF THE TA.THEIR JOB IS TO PUSH THIS TA THROUGH.THE LESS YOU KNOW THE BETTER IT IS FOR THE IAM TO SUCEED.

well jim what do you think it is the company is going to do , start paying uniform allot ment for close to 8000 workers ?

Do you think we can force the company to take a large part of our medical up (8,000 people ) ? And i might remind you that we will now have an aging work force ...

Do yout think we can bargin with the company to take on more sick days and holidays for 8,000 people ?

And we are negoating all of this without the threat of a strike , because we CAN'T strike , why OH why would the company agree to any better terms that what it's already give us , WITHOUT THE THREAT OF A STRIKE ?????

oh and do you REMEMBER all of those people who said "don't worry the company will give you GOOD terms because they are AFRAID OF THE CIC .... Well it's the 11th hour and they didn't blink , so it could be possible that they AREN'T afraid ...

Boy now you have me confused.......... it's the 11th hour of what????? This is a T/A with the company over an integration contract negotiation and your acting like it's the last day of the 30 day cooling off period before a strike!!!! Freedom- you need to pull back on the throttles, push the nose down a little and get to an altitude where you can once again breathe properly. This T/A smells way worse than a low tide at high noon.
 
Wow! Freedom you have got to be one of the most short sighted people I have ever experienced in my life!

Sick Time, Health Insurance are critical elements to any contract or benefits package. These are not luxuries to be thrown away on a whim for .25 more an hour!
 
Freedom, open your eyes ! YES the company can afford all of the aformentioned. You give the public a happy workgroup it will cost but the end product will make more money for them in the long run. Passengers wouldn't mind paying the extra also for a better product, knowing that all employee groups are happy and they won't have to worry about going from point a to b. Now if your halfbaked TA is passed they will not they can get away with it all.
Bottom line, they make billions!

I don't think I want to try and rationalize with you anymore. You are a hopeless cause. I feel that these threads should be geared around the strong that understand, i advise all that there is no way to turn around the weak, aim for the strong!
 
Freedom is sounding a whole lot like the Piedmont boys and girls did back in 1989 when the vote to de-certify the Teamsters came about. Ask some old Piedmonters if dumping the Union then was a good idea?
