It has to do with working 20 years for a company that has always made us fight for any wage period.
It has to do with having respect for you working employee's which this comany has never had.

The CWA wanted a "buy out" and had to pay for it some way. The company does not have the liquidity for a buyout,m thus, the CWA exchanged many contract items to keep pay as high as possible and fund the "buy out".

It is difficult to reach the cost cut targets, but like the 3 TWU units and ALPA the CWA reached its cost cut goal.

You're right about that. It's just a matter of time until all the majors line up to do the same and cut wages. This is no longer a "career" business. It's just the beginning of the job world, something to accept, get some experience, then move on to better paying, career type jobs. It's sad and it's not something any of us expected, but it's now reality. I am moving on to something out of this industry and take control my future. Good luck to all my collegues who move on or stay here. It's been a great ride, but it's come to an end.
