Right on Target- As the world thirsts for Oil, These Third World exporters, will eventually turn inward, and cease exports, to conserve what resources they have left. Hence "Nationalism" that is starting to sweep the world, and hence the "Majors" being kicked out! A good example of this will be Mexico, and their Cantarelle field-

Now you know, the Truth, that the politicians will not tell you, this stuff is dead serious, and will dwarf the oil embargo of the early 70's, which I experienced first hand, in my teens.

Don't forget the US in there with nationalism......green aside,no one here is in any great hurry to use our oil offshore and in Alaska...

Well, I know you are no Country Hick, But what exacly do you think the Alaska pipeline was built for? Besides Prudhoe Bay is already in serious decline, and ANWR..., only has enough oil to supply the US for 3-months- Do your home work, pay attention and read what has been written and supporting links in this thread, evidently not-

Then die.....

I don't think I'd die without oil but we'd have a major lifestyle change.....besides all the green weenies
want us to go back to the horse and buggy days anyway...Go back to the hunter/forager days.....
Think of the coming economic impact when the wells do dry up.Thought Carter was pointing us into the
energy independence mode...that was what,34 years ago?SO we just discovered what he tried to tell us?

I guess you'd have to move to the warmer clime's in winter.......

What you say......coal??

On the other hand though...this is exactly the scenario for one to rise to power with all the right answers.

Since you have a hard time, cut/copy/paste...this link (which I will freely admit) I screwed up bacasuse of the (...) farther up this thread in previous post. So..., here it is again, along with all the answers!

Now.., at the bottom of the above link- "click" Microsoft Word

This will give you multiple "links" that will substantuate, everything that is mentioned.

Now, go out there and burn up as much fuel as you possibly can, with that Big Truck, H2o, becasue when the Oil is gone, it is gone. So- when (or before) 2015 rolls around and you are paying $5.00, or more to fill up that truck, (It will be $3.45 this summer) we all will someday soon be walking all these highways, and like your country hick "Icon", we will all be heading to the hills!

Okay..brace yourself - yes. Here's my thing. I despise the "global warming" talk. I have no doubt that man in fact DOES contribute towards global warming. Coal power is one way, but our flat out WASTE of gasoline in HUGE vehicles that ONE person uses as a daily commuter is another. When we burn massive amounts of oil and spew massive amounts of pollution from our leather clad Suburban Assault Vehicles as we sit idling in a starbucks drive thru, waiting 30 minutes to spend $6 for a cup of coffee- that energy is GONE...and that energy and pollution is pure and total WASTE. Coal pollutes. Coal causes global warming. But coal also provides electricity to power our cities...to heat our homes and to cook our food. Much better trade off. My problem is that Americans have this cavalier attitude about driving 3 ton trucks as personal transport.

And the focus on global warming is more to shut down the coal power plants than to asking Americans if they really need a 2 and a half ton Suburban as the daily commuter where they are the ONLY passenger.

You guys just keep eating from the hand that feeds you:

The Next Market Bubble- Besides Housing and IT...

The article explains why those with money need market bubbles to keep the house of cards from collapsing.

Boomer- You are correct, but this stuff all is eniciated from the Federal level, and the creation of money-

The Millionaire, U.S. Govt. Officials, will continue this game to keep them in power, will the rest of the populace is enslaved, to barely make ends meet-. The Federal Reserve will equalize the system, through moneitary confiscation, through Boom & Bust cycles, becasue we the populace are not in the loop, to market tops & bottoms. We are doomed to inflation, and the treadmill of our jobs just to make ends meet.

That is why we can never get ahead, it was designed that way in 1913, when the Federal Reseve Act was passed, right along with the 16 Amendment that same year-

So you got wood for anyone else who doesn't own a Prius?
As to the massive amounts of pollution spewed from our suburbans.....its worse than the 60's?
Ok,Ok....I'm selling the Hummer.....

You know dell...While I've had me and 4 others travelling along in my Prius, I pass SUV after SUV that is carrying just one occupant...not pulling a trailer...not hauling...just a driver. If they want to pay $100 to fill the thing, more power to them. But when I'm 70 and my grandkids are looking at $10 a gallon gas, I can at least tell them that I tried to think of them when I was younger, but 90% of the other folks felt that they 'needed' a Suburban to grocery shop....and their response to oil shortages and rising prices was "drill the ANWR" (which by that time will have been depleted).

No! No! Don't sell the Hummer, Daddy! Sell the house, and we'll move into the Hummer, and park it at Wal-Mart. At least I won't have to cut the grass anymore.

In my own family, my sister was driving around (alone) in a Lincoln Navigator--because "they needed it to tow their boat, don't you know." (The same boat that has been moored at a marina at Orange Beach, AL for the last 3 years.) When gas crossed over $3.00/gal, suddenly she's driving a Honda Civic (I think) hybrid, and the boat towing machine is parked in the garage.
