SHOW ME THE BUY OUT......

No to get the furlough (severance) pay they have to lay you off. They think they are going to offer a Voluntary Furlough with no money and people will take it. Some might but not enough. I would love it to get to my seniority. I don't have that many under me at 10 years. Could happen.

Pardon me for being thick but as far as I can tell severance pay(quiting) vs. being laid off(furlough/unemployment) are different.

Please correct me if I do not understand.

Or, it dawned on me, if you quit while being furloughed is what you are talking about.

Sometimes the clear stuff overtakes the OJ.

Severance does not always disqualify you from unemployment benefits. It depends on the state. Generally, a furlough is theoretically temporary. It can be voluntary or involuntary.

Free money

15 weeks severance-------$18,000
20 days vacation-----------$4,800
10 comp days--------------$2,400
52 weeks unemployment-$22,800
selling 300 sick hrs back--$3,000

=$51000

Where do I sign up?

Push me out the door with some jingle. 🙄

Buyouts? Ha....Ha....Ha..Ha.Ha.Ha.............. That's a good one.

Buyouts COST money. The cuts that were announced today are meant to SAVE money.
You can sit around all day hoping for a buyout, but it ain't gonna happen.

Sorry to pee in your rice krispies.

People if we couldn't get 300+ f/a's to leave with 20K what makes you think you'll have people lining up to leave with only unemployment due to the looming pressure of having to sell a coke? I think some f/a's that were forced to come back from voluntary due to no more extensions will take a voluntary again. It will all depend on the stipulations of the VF. Sign my rump up.
