No to get the furlough (severance) pay they have to lay you off. They think they are going to offer a Voluntary Furlough with no money and people will take it. Some might but not enough. I would love it to get to my seniority. I don't have that many under me at 10 years. Could happen.

Pardon me for being thick but as far as I can tell severance pay(quiting) vs. being laid off(furlough/unemployment) are different.

Please correct me if I do not understand.

Or, it dawned on me, if you quit while being furloughed is what you are talking about.

People if we couldn't get 300+ f/a's to leave with 20K what makes you think you'll have people lining up to leave with only unemployment due to the looming pressure of having to sell a coke? I think some f/a's that were forced to come back from voluntary due to no more extensions will take a voluntary again. It will all depend on the stipulations of the VF. Sign my rump up.
