Flew the shuttle today and it's back better than ever. Mostly full all day and when you look at the FA list for customers it's all chairman, silver, platnium etc... That is why the shuttle is so valuable, because you get those guys and then when they make the LHR trip they fly with you.

Plus our shuttle is much better than DAL now as we have not downsized the A/C.... consistent product....
One of the few things they have done right.

AA always wanted the shuttle , even when Trump had it,,, maybe they will get there wish...

The Shuttle is very nice to do your nonrevving on too. There are so many flights and it is great to be on a Mainline flight rather than an RJ. There's just no comparison.

Just wait till we move to the MAT ... that should change "unfortunately"
Funny, I hear many passengers say the prefer the MAT as it is closer to the city and easier to get in and out of. Guess it depends on your perspective.

Heard the exact same thing from two Chairman's on a CLT- LGA flight last week-- the MAT will make the decision to book the US Shuttle even easier, due to its location.

The Shuttle market always does well in September, as many companies in the NE increase biz travel after Summer vacations end. Thursday afternoons in particular are usally very busy on the Shuttle.

As others have said many Shuttle passengers due prefer the MAT due to it's location and proxemity to Manhattan. The Grand Central Parkway runs right in front of LGA and is frequently bumper to bumper, especially during the early morning rush hour when many Shuttle passengers arrive into LGA. During these backups I could see where a cab from the MAT to Manhattan could easily be 15-20 mins less driving time than from the current US/DL terminals at the east end of LGA. When the DL/US slot and terminal transaction is complete US is likely to loose some regular Shuttle customers to DL when US goes from flying to dozens of cities from LGA to 6 and DL has such a large increase. But at the same time US will gain some former DL Shuttle customers because of the MAT. Time will tell if US overall has a gain or loss from the above.

Its at most a quarter mile "closer". Down over on 82nd as compared to 95th. For those that drive parking is minimal, as opposed to the large lot just across the street from the current terminal.

Shuttle product really "hasn't changed" in terms of improvements. It always has been a good product. Very well liked by our frequent customers.

However, DCA-LGA can be nightmareish when weather hits.

The MAT is an older (albeit nice) building but there's nothing there. If you work the shuttle bring your own food as I think there is, at most, a coffee shop and maybe a Dunkin Dougnuts.

Personally, Im not looking forward to having 3 gates at one end of the airport and the MAT. They also "claim" that the Shuttle will be only shuttle and not used for any connecting flight. That remains to be seen. But it is what it is.

There may not be outbound connections taking place in LGA , but there will be connecting pax on shuttle planes that are bound for DCA and to a lesser extent in BOS. On weekends the shuttles are full of connections thru DCA for Florida and other places south.

The shuttle will be "back" when they reconfigure a subfleet of A320's with all coach, generously spaced seats and those cool bagged meals we could grab as we boarded.

Those were the days when the shuttle was a very nice product geared to our business travelers. I don't see them going back to a all coach configuration, as when there is a mechanical, or a/c swap, they won't have the a/c to replace it. Back then there also was a "standby a/c" and crew waiting all day to pull up and go when they needed it. In todays environment, there is just not enough money for it

Aircraft utilization is much better this way as the shuttle a/c are constantly rotated thru the system. When we had specifically dedicated shuttle a/c , the planes were getting beaten to a pulp with the high frequency of landings/takeoffs. Plus you would be surprised just how many people actually pay for first class.

That will be gone per Isom at the meeting the day of the announcement. The Shuttle will be "pure". WE asked when in the case of irreg ops when people are bumped off CLT then they have to "sclep" over on a bus to MAT and got thru security yet again... Their reply was "we're looking into that".

They are NOT going to reconfigure the 320s for Shuttle.
