Singapore Code Share

Here is why:

SQ owns 51% of VS.

VS is frustrated with obtaining approval for VS-America based in SFO.

Eventually you all will work for the Singaporeans and if Doug (or any of y'all for that matter) are in Singapore on business and you get stopped for DUI then your punishment will be a caning.

Actually SQ owns only 49% :D

Still it is a sizable interest that one should not overlook.

The big question I have is will SQ be added to the list of carriers US can do an interline E-ticket. As a travel Agent I book a lot of travel to Asia that originate in cities that US has a major presence in like AVL, RDU, GSP, ILM. It's not a huge amount of people but if they want to get to asia it usually means a connection in the US to get to a gateway city.

Usually if these clients want First class as a travel Agent I steer them towards a premium carrier like CO but if they want coach I sell a lot of US to connect to an asian carrier. I just hate having to issue paper tickets.
