Two cities that lost service will resume service with 30 pax EMB120s. Killeen service will start July 1,and Waco service will start Aug. 1.

Good to hear! Is TYR coming back?

Service started today, the aircraft are still wearing Delta''s colors. Must have flown them in from SLC. Hopefully the RJs will return when the new airport debuts at the Army airfield and shares its 10,000 ft. runway.

Tyler, Abilene, and San Angelo coming in August and September.

Actually the color scheme is Skywests Generic colors. Skywest has NEVER had a EMB-120 in Delta colors.

Actually when Skywest became a Delta Connection carrier, Delta required Skywest to change the "widget" design on the tail because it looked TOO MUCH like Deltas widget. Delta, at the time. wanted Skywest to look DIFFERENT.
So SKYWEST changed the livery to please delta and disiguish themselves apart from delta.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Ok,I''ll give you that one. I remember back in the 80s when Delta had their Delta Connection carriers where their own liveries. Skywest,Rio Airways,BEX,and Comair. The thinking was the carriers would have an incentive to keep up good service since it was there name on the outside of the aircraft. That thinking must have gone out the door when the RJs came.

I still find it funny though that the EMB 120s are in psuedo Delta colors providing service for Continental. Good to have service restored to the small towns.

Yes it is good. FYI skywest will be bringing in 4 more emb''s with the continental colors. These are aircraft skyw picked up from CO that have been parked in Roswell. Apperently mx is giving them a good once over before they head to IAH.

Where are the EMB 120s going to have regular maintenance done? Since COEX has gone all jet, they would not have the personnell to do it. Is Skywest renting space at IAH or elsewhere?

SKYW has mx now in place at IAH.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Skywest EMB's in DL colors, but airliners.net isn't working right now so I can't get a good # of pics.

It's only a matter of time before the ERJ's move in....
