How many cities will remain mainline and how many will fall into the other catagories...

Ponder before you vote......

I think we all know the answer....more than 3..less than 8...

my guess is if all the yes votes are enough to get the new contract agreement in place from cwa as well as the other two groups i'd suspect that onl 7 cities will be mainline that is fll, mco, dca, pit (whats left of it), phl, bos and lga. it is sad to say but i think that is what will happen the airline's vampires know it and wont tell us cause they are so good at lying about everything!

Robbedagain,

Are you writing off CLT too ??? Frankly I don't see that happening cuz U is never going to become a strickly point to point operation.

CLT has too much going on asside from hub tactics and flight operations. Training and Logistics is a major player for this company out of CLT...and regardless of what may or may not transpire with regards to "Heavy Maintenance" itself...both issues remain a constant in terms of day to day business taking place.

The last plus for CLT staying alive is its operating costs Vs. that of just about any of the cities you mentioned above.

Again...Unless U was to become a true Point to Point operation...don't count CLT out until you see the Sheriff padlocking the entire company.

If the company had any brains, they'd express out PHL and shift everything south to CLT. Cant see CLT ever becoming just Express. Neither one gonna happen in this lifetime.

Lets not forget TPA!

Yup,

We can't forget TPA....and likely never will, Teflon TPA..where Maintenance got heated up and wouldn't stick. Sorry...but at this point everything is pretty much something to laugh about , unless you just prefer to cry?

i personally cant see any fla market going mainline express however with the vampires running this ship who knows what will happen. i'd be glad to see a tpa or fll to abe flt and it would do well. of course that is if we could have our mainline pay status but then again i am dreaming!

In the last company proposal to fleet, all stations except LGA, BOS, DCA, PIT, PHL, CLT, and FLL would become mainline express.

I suspect places like SEA, DEN and PHX would qualify due to frequencies (ironic that every flight could be mainline metal, yet the agents would be express) or some tie in with UA.

I see nothing in the CWA t/a prohibiting this.

Mainline: DCA/BOS/LGA/PIT/CLT/PHL/MSY/DFW/LAX/LAS/SFO/LAS/TPA/FLL/MCO/MIA/PBI/JAX
UA HANDLED: SEA/PHX/DEN
Express: everywhere else.

We were told that since there is no new scope/express language in the TA, that the current CBA scope rules would apply for conversion to express stations. Anyone know any different?

This is something I've never understood. So employees working at LGA would be mainline, but employees working at EWR would be mainline/express and make less money? Wouldn't U consider making labor markets consistent. Perhaps maintaining a station as mainline in high cost areas could be a possibility. Aren't they concerned about the labor markets?
